nah, we're better because EVERYBODY BESIDES COMPUTERS SAY SO

and the level of competition says so and they eyeball test as well for UW. I watched the entire game waiting to be impressed to see exactly what many AZ fans and Marqfan was preaching to me for the past couple days and I am still waiting. Unfortunately, I've only watched them play this game, UW, WSU and Michigan and didn't see the SD st game which was there best win. Hopefully they will show me a little something positive once they face Colorado (which just squeaked by WSU today). It's starting to appear as though there is only one legit elite 8 contender in the Pac and that's AZ.

Still not half my friend

The game hovered around ten for the entire second half until the final 3 minute mark. You said your eam sucks and not me.

Playing our worst game of the year and having an epic 51 point second half for our best come from behind games in quite a while vs an eilite team is an extremely impressive. Who are you attempting to impress with name calling (moron, IQ bashing, fool, etc)? This doesn't prove your points, if anything it accomplishes the opposite. Is it really necessary to use degrade fellow board members? Please at least attempt to have a conversation without incorporating childish attacks in the future or you might find many people will just stop talking with you.

Anyways, thanks for the conversation and I actually do hope Marq makes the tourney as I cheer for all Wisconsin teams until they face UW obviously.

Actually the name calling started

When your Wisconsin buddy called me a "dumb fuck" troll.

And then you proceeded to hop on the bandwagon.

You really deserve to be called names if the best you got is calling someone a Wisconsin hater because they didn't put them #1!!!

All I want to know is 1. How does that make me a hater. 2. Why does it upset you and blaisey boy so much?

Arizona has 4 very impressive wins away from home that in my opinion have made them look like the best in the country thus far.

I don't use Pom as a way to rank teams. I utilized SOS, and Oppd and OppO however.

If you feel that OppD, OppO and SoS are valid metrics then you can't just ignore his overall rankng. The two are inextricably linked. He rates teams with the same system that he rates their opponents. If you think his methodology for coming up with OppD, OppO and SoS is valid and/or accurate, then you simply have to acknowledge that he also rates Arizona #1. (that could change overnight, but I doubt it)

It's like boycotting Pepsi because you don't like their business practices, but choosing to drink mountain. It's the same damn company.

All this talk about the "eye test" Keep in mind that Wisconsin beat Green Bay by 3, St Louis by 6, WVU by 7, Marquette by 6, and Oral Roberts by 9. Winning at UCLA no matter the score is a good win.

St Louis is probably better than UCLA :) ( stirring the pot my friend, stirring the pot... LOL) but seriously SLU is probably better.

last year SLU was better. Let's reserve judgement until they beat one SINGLE good team. They have literally played two great teams and lost to them both, at home. Let's not mistake this team for last year's SLU squad

Lol. I'd probably call it about even. But the St Louis game was on a neutral so the level of difficulty wasn't quite the same as a true road game. I guess all I'm saying is no team is going to win every game by 15+ lol

True, SLU has no really great wins. I guess Indiana State is their best?? Of course I cant really think of anyone UCLA has beat either.... UCSB??? Drexel?? Jeez... Those are 2 teams that have won 25 games combined and probably dont have a single quality win.

I think winning @UCLA is similar to winning @Michigan.

Michigan has 0 huge wins, 3 losses to great teams, 1 bad loss
UCLA has 0 huge wins, 2 losses to great teams, 1 loss to a good team

I'm sure if Iowa is able to go into Michigan and win on their floor, you will count it a great victory, no?

Honestly??? As of right now I wouldnt. Itd be a good victory but not a great one. Of course if Michigan wins 7 or 8 more in a row then that will change. Any road victory is a nice one. Michigan is a good one but Crysler isnt really one of the more intimidating places to play in the B10. Its just OK. The only great road wins available left for Iowa this year are OSU/MSU. We already blew 2 great chances with losing late leads at Hilton and losing a lead at Kohl.

Fair enough. I'm not saying winning @ Michigan or UCLA is something you're gonna hang your resume hat on... but I do think you're underplaying the value a bit.

I mean, come on, Iowa hasn't won @ Michigan since the 2007 season, you're telling me you won't be very happy if they pull it off this year?

I would contend that SLU's best win in @ Vandy is close enough to UCLA's best win at home vs USC.

Both pretty similar, 0 bad losses, 0 great wins... all you can do is credit them for taking care of business and wait and see.

No Finney-smith, wilbekin, walker are a bulk of their punch.

6 pt game was more of a 15? It was a 3 pt game with like a minute left and we suck.

Iowa at home compared to SDSU(game never in doubt on the road) hahahah you really are a fool.

You couldn't contradict yourself more if you tried. You proclaimed beating a slightly above average Michigan team comeback win (which they were losing the entire game) as a means to prove that AZ is more deserving of the top spot. Yet you use our 4 point win 17 pt comeback (51 pts in the second half) as a case against UW when they faced an elite team in Iowa. Iowa might end up as the number 2 team overall in the Big ten. Their L's have come on the road against undefeated Iowa St in the last seconds of the game, on the road against Nova in OT in the last moments and @ one of the most difficult places to play in @ UW by 4.

Also, I never compared the SDSU game but the teams.

I do find it ironic that someone on this thread who professes to be a fan of the eyeball test then said that Iowa wasnt an elite level team ( looking at you Trolly!! LOL). If you truly believe in the eyeball test then you know Iowa is a top 10-15 type team. Out of Iowas 3 losses the ONLY team any of those 3 teams have played that any of their fans would tell you is better than Iowa is Nova fans telling you Syracuse is better. Other than the Cuse that I promise you ISU/Wisky/Nova fans would tell you Iowa is the best team theyve played. Maybe not saying as much in ISU's case but saying a bit in Wisky/Nova case.

MarqHomer actually has the audacity to use the game UW played at Iowa as reasoning why the AZ is better. That would be like me trying to belittle their SD St. game @ home which I won't do as it's an impressive win and one of the best W's of the year unless SD st falls off the map.
