Hasn't Jagr expressed a desire to retire at the end of the year? Or did I imagine that?

yeah if jagr puts up #s like these i would resign and keep him.

what if he doesn't? what if he gets hurt which at 42 will happen more frequently. as we have also seen play will suffer just like with marty.

make the move not many teams have a 42 year old leading their team in scoring. that should be a slap in the face of every devil on that lineup. not bashing jagr but the other guys really should be stepping it up to not get showed up by a old guy

I am going to rewind what I said several times this season. This team being within striking distance of the playoff spot with the trade deadline approaching is the worst thing that can happen.

I say sell. Don't take a risk. This team cannot hold leads and sucks in OT.
There is a chance you can sell and obtain some younger players, possibly a late 1st round pick for Jagr.
Sell A-train, Salvador....especially our best trade asset Jagr.

Hell if the pens can give up a 2nd rounder for Doug Murray last year I'm sure Sal can fetch a 3rd. And the sharks were a legit playoff team

I never even understood whu sal was liked so much here. You realize we got him for cam Jansen. Flip that around if we got cam in a trade what d man would you want to give up to get him
