Reggie had 17 rushing TDs and 12 receiving TDs in 5 seasons with the Saints. The Saints had better receiving options, though. I wouldn't be surprised to see 3-4 rushing TDs and 4-6 receiving TDs for him with this year's Lions.

If I can get that TD production with 650 yards rushing to go with 65/450 receiving, I'd happily have him as my RB2 in PPR. I think he gets more rushing TDs than that though. That's only 1 rushing TD every 4 weeks for a starter. He had more than that in both years in Miami in horribly inept passing offenses. I'd see more around 12 total TD at least.

Exactly... that's why I looked at NO instead. Not just the type of offense, but also which Thomas you're looking at... Pierre > Daniel. Mikel/Joique > Daniel, too.

I'm looking for more than 650 rushing, though. (If you only give him 650 rushing yards, how is he going to get a bunch of rushing TDs anyway, when the other guys are better at the short runs?)

Mostly because of Wil, I have bought into Bernard. Literally. Had my auction league draft last night and he was one of 5 RB (Charles, Forte, Miller, Bernard and Bell) that I shelled out some clam for.

How's this for twisted thinking?

Bengals play the Bears in week 1. The team that led the league in forced turnovers. Marvin Lewis trots out Bernard after a series or two to give him his official NFL debut. On his second carry, Peanut Tilman comes up and punches the ball out.

On the next Bengals possession, same situation, Bernard is benched until further notice.

Wishful Bears' fan thinking? Masochistic fantasy thinking? Little of both? IDK.
