1) Agreed.Happy Monday Hooligans;
Gimme Five things Vrabel needs to do to kick start his tenure.
1. Secure his coaching staff. Whomever he plans to bring in he needs to do that as quickly as possible. This needs to happen so they can gather their thoughts and address team needs as they see it.
2) Agreed.2. Schedule a meeting with RK, JK and Wolfe. Explain that he and his coaching staff need to be communicated with as it relates to player personal decisions. If they are going to be a team they need to work as one. He really needs to hammer this home.
3) Disagree. If he can secure an OT and a WR Great. If he can sign a DT and a CB also great. If he can sin a WR and a CB, then focus on OT and DT. Great too. Same if he signs an OT and a DT then drafts the smaller guys. Sign whoever top FA and any position of need then draft to supplement the weakest position.3. IN FA do all they can to fill needs on one side of the ball. If we can secure picks that shore up the majority of needs on one side of the ball it allows more flexibility in the actual draft. As this is a defense heavy draft, I would like to see them address as many needs as possible on the offensive side of the ball.
4) I like it.4. Team Meeting: Call a team meeting yeah they are in the offseason call the damn meeting anyway. Set the expectations make it known that he demands more and that players not meeting the standard may be looking for work elsewhere. Let it be known that every position is up for grabs, emphasize off season conditioning
5) I like Vrabel's press conferences. He will beat down a reporter for stupid questions, but he will destroy a reporter who asks demeaning questions.5. Avoid the media as much as he is allowed to. Be cautious of the words you choose, set the tone that what takes place in the locker room, stays in the locker room.
You can only be young once-He sang what all of us youngsters were going through.
War........................"I was much older then.........when I was young".
Sadly, we were never 'young' again.
Good one.Slow Week Gimme Five.
Gimme five events you could go back in history and prevent or change.
1. The Holocaust would absolutely prevent that from ever happening.
Hmm...They were different times and what was "Socially Acceptable" or even expected was just different. And I only say this in the context that what would our country look like right now if there were never any African Americans brought here 300 years ago. We all make this place a better country2. Slavery as it was conducted in the US
LOL. Yeah, Just imagine a better world where the corruption, brainwashing and child molestation was not so prevalent.3. The Establishment of the Catholic church.
100%. And all of it's ilk. (PFAS)4. The creation of plastic
Hey now!!! Ham, Bacon and Pineapple is the only way I'll eat pineapple. But just ham and pineapple? Nope.5. Pineapple on pizza
Mehhh Different times, really? Whipping people into submission, raping their wives, hanging them for wanting freedom, selling their children, nahh none of that should ever have been acceptable. And its more like 160 years not 300.Good one.

Yes, It was. I spent much of my formative years in Vermont, the first state to ban slavery...and close to the most racist place I've ever been. White people had the power and control, white people with money had slaves. It was accepted.Mehhh Different times, really?
Don't misconstrue what I am saying. I don't find that acceptable. Nor did all slave owners.Whipping people into submission, raping their wives, hanging them for wanting freedom, selling their children, nahh none of that should ever have been acceptable.
The first enslaved Africans arrived in America on August 25, 1619 at Old Point Comfort in Virginia. That would be...400 years ago. They were freed 160 years ago.And its more like 160 years not 300.
Corruption? The atrocities of the Catholic church run far deeper than child molestation.
Ehh...Some people love pineapple but hate it on pizza. And Pineapple should never go on pizza
I was referencing the end of slavery.Yes, It was. I spent much of my formative years in Vermont, the first state to ban slavery...and close to the most racist place I've ever been. White people had the power and control, white people with money had slaves. It was accepted.

I am not pro slavery. I am just saying if, in 1619 people in America decided to not buy the slaves from the tribal leaders in Africa and bring them here, this country would be even whiter than it is now.
Corruption?
Brainwashing?
Ehh...Some people love pineapple but hate it on pizza.
I love all seafood, but I ain't eaten no pizza with anchovies.
Cool. I was referencing slavery as a whole.I was referencing the end of slavery.
We still don't know the half of it. After being shot down in WWII my father in law was loaded onto a train for Auswich. He had no idea why all of the people on the train were being transported. No one talked to him. He and about twenty other prisoners were taken off and marched to a POW camp. He never saw where the people on the train went.Slow Week Gimme Five.

Slavery was started about 5000 years before Africans were transported to the U.S. The Dutch were the first to sell blacks in Europe and Launched the sale of blacks to America. Initially they were treated like pets and for some, it got worse. For others, much better.2. Slavery as it was conducted in the US
Catholic Church was establish by Jesus Christ's Apostle Peter. He was crucified upside down in a joking manner of Christ's crucifixion. It was the Italians who bastardized the religion. All of Christ's apostles were married and had children. The Italians made the celibacy rules and then allowed the ugly shit to start.3. The Establishment of the Catholic church.
It's easy to damn something once it's become a massive pain in the ass. Can't ignore all of the benefits it's provided.4. The creation of plastic
Never considered ever on any pizza I would eat. had a slice a couple of weeks ago and was shocked at how good it was. Could be that my palate is changing in my mid seventies.5. Pineapple on pizza

The butterfly effect of removing slavery is an interesting take. Get rid of the holocaust and we may never have gone to the moon. The Nazis performed a lot of heinous experiments on "worthless humans".Good one.

I drew a blank on the butterfly effect of the holocaust. Good one.The butterfly effect of removing slavery is an interesting take. Get rid of the holocaust and we may never have gone to the moon. The Nazis performed a lot of heinous experiments on "worthless humans".
Remove the atrocities of the Catholic church and the same people would have done similar things under different affiliations. People suck!
Plastic, hmm, can't think of a butterfly effect other than a second Hitler may not have died of cancer. Removing pineapple pizza seems like a wasted revision for humanity. Can't you just not eat it?
Pizza is Italian food. Nothing could be more Italian than anchovies on pizza!I love all seafood, but I ain't eaten no pizza with anchovies.
I live in America where I don't have to eat anchovies on my pizza if I don't want to.Pizza is Italian food. Nothing could be more Italian than anchovies on pizza!
And Pepperoni is the better Italian option on a pie anywayI live in America where I don't have to eat anchovies on my pizza if I don't want to.
Even better than Pineapple. And Pepperoni is the better Italian option on a pie anyway
