Feels like it was now or never v St Louis and then Arizona but we shall see. Kings up 2-0 on the Sabres. Blues up 3-1 on the Sharks in the 3rd (Of course the Sharks won't help the Kings).

It's not just LA it's the fact that St Louis, Calgary and Edmonton keep winning. Each LA loss is magnified by the fact those 3 teams keep winning.

Absolutely. They know LA is on their tail so they have their own PO spot to secure as well but seem to be locking it down while LA is not.

The Blues game Monday was a killer and then losing to AZ Tuesday night didn't help either. The good news is they have 2 teams they are trying to catch this weekend/Monday so they can mitigate the damage by just going out there and winning. In regulation would be perfect.

Yep, I guess the season "officially" isn't lost until we see those games vs Calgary and Edmonton.

The Kings had a 4 game winning streak in November and two 5 game winning streaks (November and then again late Jan/Feb).

Bottom line, they need one now. My guess is they need to go 10-2 the rest of the way to get in, maybe 9-3 and they definitely need to beat Calgary, Edmonton and St. Louis in regulation.

I still put it at 20% chance for LA. The loss to Arizona was maddening, but if you have to lose to someone, that team is okay to lose to (And they got a point) as far as awarding points to an opponent.

Edmonton and Calgary 3 times each is the biggest thing. You win those and you are in great shape, but that is a tall tall order, with 2 of the 3 being on the road. And it just doesn't feel like this team has that confidence right now to win 6 match-ups against those teams. I hope, I really do, but we're more likely to see them maybe go 4-2 in those 6 with their best effort (Which would be impressive in its own right, but probably won't be good enough at the end of the day to make the Playoffs). So it's possible, but it is really not likely after that homestand they just had. They really have no margin of error because they just kept shooting themselves in the foot with losses to Vancouver, St. Louis, and Arizona at home. LA won 3 game 7's on the road and came back from down 0-3 in 2014, so it's possible, but that 2014 team was very deep and strong, and we've been waiting for the return of that team for about 3 years now.
