Fed wins with an emphatic scoreline. 6-1,6-3. I guess some matches get so hyped then don't live up to the billing. I did expect a three setter. Fed's prep is good for Wimby!!

Rust finally came off a bit. Still needs those early matches to sharpen up a bit more. If he avoids the grass specialists early on and gets a reasonable draw he should have a decent shot.

I like his chances to go deep. There could be scare or two, but mentally and game wise he is there. This is what I wanted to see.

Did anyone see the Donald Young vs. Cilic match?

That was a very goo match too. Young had a good game plan, and won a lot of points taking Cilic out wide.

Close match.

I would have liked to see his rust come off by having him compete in the French Open. ;) He then could have skipped Stuttgart.

Maybe he could have won it and we could have been talking about the possibility of the calendar year slam.

Before Djokovic last year, we hadn't had the same person win the AO and FO since Courier did it.
