I wonder what the "late round swap" is. Probably a 6th round swap, at best.
Hopefully it's for their 6th rounder. When I hear late-round, I generally assume 6th or 7th round, 4th and 5th being "mid-rounds", and rounds 1 through 3 "early," but I don't think there's any set standard there.

I'd be happy as a clam if we managed to finagle a swap of their 6th round pick for a guy whom it looked like we were going to lose with no compensation...

Doubt he was actailually worth that... I see the 7th round picks being swapped. Anything better and you would almost have to chalk it up in win column for Mayhew.

Right next to the other three or four check marks.

Yea I foresee 7th round swaps, as well. That's why I said "at best" 6th round swap lol.

Looks like the Lions got a 5th round pick, gave back the Ravens 7th rounder. That worked out better then I thought it would.

It does not say if it was pick 26 or 32 from the 5th round though.

This is why its better to relax and see what happens before going all crazy about stuff. Thats not bad if the Lions got a 5th in return. Or does it suck because it wasn't a 3rd...

I think a 5th for 7th is pretty good. A 6th even would not have been terrible. I would not be happy if all we did was switch 7th rounders.

This is Rodney Dangerfield crowd...

Will not be happy with a 2nd, I would imagine.

I read pick 168 and the 32nd of fifth round.

Sure makes the Ngata trade much more betta, at least for me.

I like this deal. We didn't overpay for a flash in the pan and we got back a 5th rounder. Essentially we got Ngata for a 4th rounder. Even more so, we shouldn't have gotten anything as the Bucs should have gotten him for nothing. Even more more so, we didn't give him that second round tender that no one would have jumped on.

Really anything we got for him was good. If Tampa didn't agree I still can't see Detroit signing Johnson for anything over 2 million a season. Detroit has to many DEs already under contract and I am not sure any other team was even remotely interested in him. He had gone this long in the off season without a contract offer.

Very good point TBB. The Bucs prolly never consider him with that tender. I got to say I was wrong on bashing Mayhew for that. He did right, I guess? I'm still going to bash him on other moves. I'm sure he will shortly correct this right with a wrong.

He was worth the 2nd round tender. This was still a botch job made somewhat palatable due to Tampa's snafu. Maywand owes them a thank you note.

Sacks really don't matter. At least to the Suh posse'. at least some argue and protect Suh on lack of sacks. Somewhere there is a conversion chart for hurries=sacks and hits>sacks. I googled it but can not find it.
