With all the broken hands on this team, he saw the need and filled it. The sign of a true utility player.
Wow! He plays IF for the Giants, AND moonlights as a orthopedic surgeon? Nice!
strick would have been excellent trade bait ending '17, and we wouldn't have sacrificed too much in standings...
Thanks for that. He's looking good thru two.GameDay link for Cueto's rehab start - Chihuahuas vs. River Cats | 06/23/18
The last batter he faced (whom he struck out) started playing professional, affiliated baseball at age 14. I thought that was below the minimum age to sign a contract - Franmil Reyes Minor, Winter & Fall Leagues Statistics & History | Baseball-Reference.com3 perfect, bitches...
According to BBR, he was born in ‘95 and started playing in ‘12. That makes him approx 17 when he started. That is young, but it isn’t 14...The last batter he faced (whom he struck out) started playing professional, affiliated baseball at age 14. Good catch. I was looking at the ages listed for his seasons, not his biographical information. Looks like they have an error they need to fix.According to BBR, he was born in ‘95 and started playing in ‘12. That makes him approx 17 when he started. That is young, but it isn’t 14...

No need to rush him.Samardzija's 2nd rehab start was awful. He went gave up 7 hits (2 home runs), 2 walks and 6 runs in 4 innings. He threw 88 pitches, 53 for strikes. I would like to see a third rehab start from him.
