Hopefully, that innocent door is okay.

Wow! He plays IF for the Giants, AND moonlights as a orthopedic surgeon? Nice!
With all the broken hands on this team, he saw the need and filled it. The sign of a true utility player.

strick would have been excellent trade bait ending '17, and we wouldn't have sacrificed too much in standings...

I really wanted the Giants to trade him last deadline and last offseason. Relievers with multiple years of control are extremely valuable right now.

Apparently he released this apology...I got this from the NBA board, comparing his contrition to LeBron James':

Hunter Strickland after punching a door & breaking his hand.
Could you imagine how much worse he would have felt if he had done this in the world series?

But for Lebron ...it was Tuesday.

"Life has an interesting and sometimes disappointing way of opening up our eyes. Words cannot describe the amount of regret and sorrow I have for my actions. I have let down the ones that care and mean the most, as well as the ones that count on me day in and day out. "

"To my family, my teammates, my coaches, this organization, and our fan base, I am truly sorry that one split second, stupid decision has caused so much harm and now set me back from being out there with my team to pursue our goal. As well as providing for my family. I own all responsibilities and consequences because these were no ones actions but myself."

"I will work hard to get back with the guys and help contribute to some more wins. This is our life, and we take pride in what we do, so when we fail it hurts. But that is by no means an excuse because every action has a reaction- which is what I’m seeing now."

" I’ve made a mistake and regret it, but I will not give up and will learn from this! I completely understand how this portrays my character, which I will humbly work on areas in my life that need refinement. I sincerely didn’t do this out of selfishness, but simply because I let down the ones that count on me most and my emotions got the best of me in that moment. So again, I’m sorry, and now I have to move forward."

Giants: RHP Johnny Cueto (elbow inflammation) was scheduled make his first rehab start with Sacramento on Saturday night. ... RHP Jeff Samardzija(shoulder tightness) will join Cueto in Sacramento and will throw around 90 pitches in a rehab start Tuesday.

According to BBR, he was born in ‘95 and started playing in ‘12. That makes him approx 17 when he started. That is young, but it isn’t 14...
Good catch. I was looking at the ages listed for his seasons, not his biographical information. Looks like they have an error they need to fix.

Good catch, yourself. I didn’t even look there...

Final line...

3.2 IP, 1 H, 4 K, 0 BB, 0 R, 48 pitches

Let’s see how he feels tomorrow before we get excited, though...

“Pain free” is the only thing I care about. Let him do one more start with 100 doctors looking at him under a microscope, and I would be good seeing him in SF.

Samardzija's 2nd rehab start was awful. He went gave up 7 hits (2 home runs), 2 walks and 6 runs in 4 innings. He threw 88 pitches, 53 for strikes. I would like to see a third rehab start from him.

No need to rush him.
