Man, the D-Backs starters mush be shit. How are they three games under .500?

Is it just me or is, like, every team not hitting this year? Last year was 'the year of the pitcher' but isn't this one starting off to be even lower-scoring?

Kruk and Kuip were talking about that yesterday on the radio, Kruk's theory is the pitchers are just a ton better now than 20 years ago, more pitches, that they'll throw at any time. In his day guys would have 2, maybe 3 pitches and always throw fastballs on a 3-2 count.

Yeah, they've been talking about that on the mlb network a lot. Lot's of games going into the 5th inning with one or more teams hitless.

And, yes, pitchers are better. I can't remember ever seeing so many middle relief guys throwing 95mph fastball with two off speed pitches. Plus lots of starters sitting around 95+, as well.
