F'n nerves. Ive been sick all day just thinking about this game. No appetite at all..I'll be then lost 10 pounds by sunday.
I had another one of my 49er dreams last night and this one wasnt half as cool as the other one I had.. We and the Giants just kept punting the damn ball back and forth to each other.
For the faithful whom do not live in Northern California - The rain is here!
Watching the NFL Replay of week 10 makes you feel better.
Eli had like 5 Yahtzee throws that game.
He is good but you don't connect on those at that rate. Brees threw 60 times and it's hard to name 1 other than the Colston TD. Maybe he had 3. Eli making 5 in 40 passes is luck.
Also our defense was experimenting with 2nd and 3rd level blitz stuff. They were very badly timed with guys flat footed or 5 yards off or in Goldson's case 10 yards from the line when it was snapped. *TD to Nicks on that play.
We have moved away from using Willis on the Blitz and let Brooks rush if 5 are on the LOS.
The Giants also had very good/very lucky play calling early in the game. They had Zig called when we were guessing Zag. Whitner also caused a fumble but ref said Cruz progress forward was stopped.
This was the same game Ginn volleyball'd the INT in the redzone. Braylon was still playing and Troy Aikman noticed he wasn't running well. He had a few catches but nothing big. Could of had a TD if he make a 1 hand catch.
Crabtree missed a TD on a great throw. Missed a chance to make a great play near the endzone on ball zipped by his head like Brando Lloyd.
Crabs also got called on Pass Interference on a play he got a first at the 30. It wasn't much and the contact was 5 yards from the line before the ball was released. Very questionable. Still got a FG.
On 1 play Aldon KILLS the FB but looks like he trips on the guys foot that is in the air cause he was on his butt and maybe pulls his arm down too. If he doesn't stumble he slams Eli at the 50 with a sack on 1st down. Eli chucks it with Aldon at his feet and Goldson picked it off but his 2nd foot was a foot short of staying in.
Really just have to say Gore had less yards than Eli.
6 carries and 0 yards.
And Kiwanuka is not a LB that can deal with our shifty backs. He was left in the dust multiple times in that game. If he is out there he will be targeted.
Alex Smith could also run for some yards again if they leave things open.
