Bill Romanoski just made a good point on the Jim Rome show regarding this game. Paraphrasing here, but he said that the Giants' skill position players made a conscious effort to go down if they didn't see a lane. This was quite apparent on several plays- particularly on kick returns and I also saw Cruz do it on several occasions. Basically they knew they couldn't afford to turn the ball over.
Not sure if this was there plan all along or if it was due to field conditions.
