Go Giants go. Finish off the sweep of the tribe. Won't be able to catch the game as I'll be driving home from Santa Barbara.

Chris Stewart continues to make beautiful throws. I think based on his defense, he should be the starter for the time being. He's earned it.

Well, pitching and defense are the keys to winning. Wouldn't mind more offense, but I agree with you, Stewart can throw that ball!

He can't hit a lick, but the difference between his hitting and Whiteside's hitting is much less than his defense and Whiteside's defense. I hate Whiteside on defense, both his receiving and throwing.

And as we speak, Stewart drives in 2 runs.... Funny game. Hall scores from first on a long single.

EDIT: I guess short double. Point is, Hall had nice baserunning to score.

Nice call, Nostradamus, right before the double.

You are right, though, Stewart's average has now soared to a lofty .182!

And I would agree with you on the "D", I used to be pretty happy with Eli's "D", but have not been so impressed since Posey went down. Eli is a career backup, and starting every day exposes his flaws.

He's a very good backup, but as you said, he had trouble with the majority if the playing time. He has never been the primary catcher at any level, even the minors. Stewart has had the benefit of starting consistently before. Eli doesn't know what to do with himself.

Congrats on the sweep, fausto is absolute garbage. I hope this gets out of hand enough for him to lose his spot in the roster

Giants' announcers saying he needs a good secondary pitch, that all he is throwing are hard sinkers. Is that the story on him this season? He seems to throw pretty hard, with good sink.

Tough to say, he seems great until he gets 2 outs then he gets crushed. I honestly dont get it.

He did great in 2007, was he hurt in 2008 and 2009? His innings seemed down.

Don't follow the Tribe much. Originally from Minnesota, so the Twinkies are my AL team.

He is a headcase...That about sums this guy up.

Just got back from the yard....I was sitting behind this nerdy lookin' dude with a Hafner jersey on. Guy kept whining about how bad the Indians defense was and how lucky the Giants were to win the first two games of the series. He then stood up when the Giants got ahead 3-0 and said "that's it...it's a sweep" and started to whine about Carmona. He began blubbering like a little girl and his dad had to take him home after the sixth inning.

I kinda felt sorry for the kid....I mean we were VERY lucky that the Indians only scored 4 runs in the series. INCREDIBLY lucky to record 16 strikeouts today. INSANELY blessed to get that balk last night.

Poor kid, he's following a cursed team; I didn't have the heart to explain to him that winning low scoring, close games is how the World Champs roll. We're just mind numbingly lucky.
