I don't get using cain as a pinch-hitter. Can somebody explain? Is it just fear of lefty-on-lefty (Belt, Huff, Nate, Blanco) ??

Probably due to 2 outs, nobody on, short bench (no Riot) and lefty matchups.

Theriot out, and in a tight game, two outs, and only in the 6th...

I guess that's the reason? As Kruk and Kuip said, why not use Bum or Vogelsong?
