The Angels released Scott Kazmir yesterday, eating the $9.5MM left on his contract. They are also paying Gary Matthews Jr. $11.4MM to play for the Reds' Triple-A affiliate this year.

Kinda true. But kinda harsh. Regular season he had a lights out April We thought he and Timmy would split the Cy Young award.

I know you're kidding obviously, just wanted to give the guy some props. Not his fault he's overpaid, and he is a solid guy.

Kazmir is astonishing, he was a phenom when he came up. Same kind of career arc as Dontrelle Willis.
