Gotta love Heath Bell, man has that dude really tanked. I remember when he was bagging on Houston Street a few years ago for being a closer with a sub mid 90s FB. Oh how the baseball Gods have responded!

Can your team please not hit Steve Cishek? I'd honestly trade this win for losses the next 2 days if a Cishek save tonight = Bell out of the closer's role.

With Heath's contract, I think you have to hope for him to just turn it around though right ICW?

I'd unintentionally intentionally walk Melky here.

Feck. Melky strikes out on balls 4 and 5. That said, they were both close enough. Great pitching by the young man for MIA.

Good game ICW. We'll have to get 'em tomorrow. Timmy Jim has to figure his head out. I think that's the only thing left to blame it on.

Have a good holiday weekend gents. I'll be up water skiing, fishing and having some beers.

Do the Giants EVER recover from a loss like this?

I like the Giants' effort, 14 hits and a spirited comeback. Get em tomorrow.

Yeah, but he won't.

He basically has the worst contact rate in big league baseball (at least among relievers).

Guy is terrible. Relievers who can't get swings and misses normally aren't good unless they're groundball pitchers, which Heath Bell is not. Casilla, for example, is a dominant groundball guy.

Cishek is our best reliever and he's young. I'm hoping he gets more important innings. At least as a setup guy.

Not with this mentally weak group. I'll be surprised if they break 62 wins this year. Might as well just pack it in.

:heh:

EDIT: Weak.....not week. lol, I are dumb.

Man those were the days. Sometimes I miss the Disney idiocy just to make fun of it. But the feeling soon passes.

lol, yeah, sometimes it was fun.....but then I think of all the absolute garbage that overtook the board and I don't miss it anymore. I like our group here though (not saying you don't or were stating the contrary) and we all still have our pantshitty/dumbarse moments. We keep ourselves in line though.

I knew Belts error would come back to bite us

Don't worry brother. It's frustrating as all hell, but it's a long season and he's still a young kid. I really do think he'll be a pretty good/decent ballplayer in MLB when it's all said and done (i.e. - .275/.350/.750 - 20HR - 70RBI with GG caliber D). This game was just a nice, big, swift kick to the nuts.

Kind of......this board is kind of like that Counting Crows album.....August and Everything After.....

:D

Great album...

But IIRC this board didn't get going until 2011?

Edit: no you're right, Aug 2010, when things looked bleakest...
