i can't believe the season Lincecum is having. I've been scrapping the barrell for excuses for him but he's just losing games for us.

It's not about excuses, what's happening is as plain as day. The situation is simply that he is having to learn a whole new way to pitch now that he has ordinary velocity. This takes time. It's not even assured he can make it work.

They are most certainly going to give him time in the minors to work it out when Penny is ready*. Meanwhile Bochy and co don't really know how to handle it, because it's kind of out of nowhere, so they do things like leave him in too long. Bochy isn't handling this well.

It's a fucking tragedy because I love the kid, he's my second favorite Giant. My first may never pitch again and Timmy may never pitch well again.

:tsk: :tsk: :tsk:

* If they do not do this they are the dumbest bunch of idiots ever to run a team.

i don't think he has thrown a double digit K game this year. Then again he has problems getting through 6 innings. Tonight he issued 4 walks to the bottom of their line-up. 97 pitches through 5+. His control has been horrible this year. Seems he's just not sure where in hell it's going to go. Also seems that he reaches a lot of 2 strike counts followed by a few fouls and then followed by a damn hit. Just can't seem to close it out. It's also hard to believe that this team may be worse with RISP than last year .... but it always seems we leaving a ton of runners on in scoring position. But, I still think our SP is strong enough to keep us in the hunt. When we finally turn this shit around ...... watch out!

That dude wants the big $$$

I hope if we are the ones giving it to him, he doesn't turn into one of those guys that relaxes soon after.

And who is this real hitter? None are really on the market, and that doesn't look to change.

It seems silly to think there's NO ONE on a bad team who can't be had for B+ prospects.

A big piece of this loss is on Posey. Sure, Timmy was a shitshow. And yes, Loux is soon going back to Fresno. But, 0 for fucking 4?!?

First Inning: runner on, fouls out to RF
Third Inning: two on, line out to CF
Fifth Inning: bases empty, strikeout
Eighth Inning: runner on third, groundout RBI

Not horrible, but if he could've even had ONE hit, it'd be a very different game.

still wonder what it would be like today if we had in fact resigned Beltran ... I like the Melky and Pagan signings .... but always felt Beltran could carry this team when push came to shove ....

But today he was hitting 93-94 on the gun. His velocity was good, and he did well for 5 innings.

Perhaps he hit a wall in the sixth because his stamina is not there. The homer was off a 78 mph curveball that he hung to a .104 hitter. Obviously a poor choice of pitches. Against weakness, you have to go with your strength, especially with RISPs.

So now he's Jon Sanchez, good for 5 innings and a ton of walks? Needs work in the minors.

Easy, MSG. JSan didn't win two CY's, then follow that with a superb Game 5 in the WS next year. I think Timmy has earned some space, and some respect.

Can your team please not hit Steve Cishek? I'd honestly trade this win for losses the next 2 days if a Cishek save tonight = Bell out of the closer's role.

Heath Bell is pitching so you guys still have a chance tonight.

lol, not trying to troll, but good call ICW. He was so lights out on the Pads. I have no idea what has happened to him. I have to think he'll bounce back eventually. Maybe it's a mind game with him after signing a huge contract. :confused2:

Good luck bro, but not too much! :heh:

Go Giants go!

What the heck does that mean? I just said I love the kid. You know how to give him 'space'? Let him pitch with no pressure in Fresno.

Not a terrible at bat by Stamos. A single should still score WhiteShark. Go Melky go!
