Because Pagan basically stood on first to see whether Huff's drive would go out or be caught. But yeah, Huff should have been at 2nd.

The replay I saw, showed Pagan was half-way to 2nd base...I see no reason why that would have prevented Huff from getting to 2nd.

Pagan should have been closer to second, though.
