49ers NT Isaac Sopoaga has been diagnosed with a staph infection and is out indefinitely.
The area of the staph infection is unknown, but Sopoaga was held out of practice Wednesday. His absence could be a bit of a matchup boost for LeGarrette Blount in Week 5. Undersized Ricky Jean-Francois is Sopoaga's backup.

Yeah he helped close out the game blocking for Gore. Maybe we could put Justin Smith in there and block late in the game.

Snyder got the start at RG, but there was one particular play that Gore scored the last TD where Rachal actually played RG and Soap and Snyder were also on the field blocking.

I think Winslow, the OL, and Alex Smith hurt us in this one.

I'm not going to be optimistic, because I haven't been so far and this team still needs to prove it can compete at this level consistently. But, if we can handle an Eagles offense I think we'll do well vs. a Bucs offense. Just stop Blount and force Freeman to throw on 3rd and long. Hopefully they already know that Graham is Freeman's go-to guy on 3rd down.

Is this per agreement between the networds, between the NFL and the networks, etc? I feel they should both be able to have doubleheaders, but if they figured out that it was economically would be beneficial and agreed upon it, then that's their right. Stupid networks!
