This team gets completely outclassed when they play good teams (Braves, Phil’s, dogs, etc).

This is not a serious team.

0-10 with RISP

Now 1-18 for the series

:lm:

Wildcard? Riiiiiight. Can't beat the team ahead of us. At home. With our ace. And then with another decent (not great) start.
Strange ... if you look at all the offensive catagories for all the MLB teams we are usually in the middle of the pack (14-17) .... BUT for hitting with RISP we at 27th ....

Torture win coming!
Sadly this on not the 2010 or the 2012 or the 2014 team. We do seem to have part of what is needed. The pitching is stellar for the most part. With Snell, Ray and Webb we are close to elite. But the offense is not carrying the pitching. We are ranked 27th in the MLB when hitting with RISP. This gas to be corrected. Pitching can fix this aspect of the game. Elite pitching is only half the answer. If you don't score enough runs you lose.

Id argue that elite pitching is 2/3 of the answer, but the hitting and D cannot be awful.

our hitting is awful.

But we have 3 legit contenders for GGs this year (Bailey, Yaz, Chappy). We have average D at SS and 2B, and well below average in left and center.

Ramos needs to be moved to left field and hopefully Lee is everything fans seem to think he is and shores up center defense but I remember ready that some scouts think he is better suited for the corners

Fair enough, but what do you like about his managing
do you think he is helping the team
Nothing really sticks out for him but I don’t like to jettison a manager after one season. Seems too early to recognize if he is worth keeping. I don’t think he is worse than Kapler but I’m not convinced he is better either

We will need to see what Lee can do. From the very little we saw of him, I was very impressed with his routes on balls hit to center, and that is the primary skill needed for a CF. Ramos is a lost puppy in center.

Ramos does need a new spot. Maybe he should be the DH. Still don’t understand why he wasn’t moved to left when Hill was on the team and starting regularly

My GUESS on that was that the team viewed Ramos as a true asset and Hill as nothing but an evaluation piece. Getting Ramos prime reps in a position of potential growth was more important than giving an “evaluation piece” those valuable reps.

Just a WAG.
