Wow. 55-9 last year when The Giants scored 4 or more runs.

This year: 0-2.

Ah feck. Well, gotta tip your hat to the DBags, they're getting runs early and hanging on. The Giants should take a note on how to do it.

Also, Montero and Young are little bitches.

:heh:

Have a good one fellas. It's a long season, no need to get down.

Cain better live up to his contract tomorrow.....otherwise, I'm chalking it up as an overpay!!!

Well, the bullpen remembered who they are..the offense is doing OK. Pretty much the starting pitching is the reason the Giants are 0-2. Didnt see that coming but at the same time..if the offense stays respectable..i'm very confident.

Let's be clear: Pill is NOT a ML second baseman. He's a freaking statue out there. Didn't you see him try to play it at Fresno last year?

Nope, I live close to SJ and thus rather far from Fresno. I figured he could play well enough for two innings in a game where they are behind.

And so far, Theriot isn't looking like a MLB hitter.

Whiteside's fault.

The Snakes are a good team, though. Close games. The Giants will be there in the end. Just trying to build some drama, and to separate the diaper wearers from good fans early in the season.

I'm trying to feel optimistic....Giants look better of offense and I feel good that the starting pitching will come back to form.

Let the Snakes talk smack and celebrate in their own yard...it will make taking the division that much sweeter!!!!

So I guess we're going 160-2 then

Not exactly the start we all wanted but maybe it's gonna take a few games for the team to come together..new faces, new identity.

Haven't watch the first two closely but looks like there's definitely more threats in the lineup.

Looking forward to tomorrow, hoping Cain does a nice stop job.

The good news so far is that the pen looks to be damn solid again. The only run given up in 6.2 innings was by the rookie in his first inning of work, who settled down afterwards. Only 3 hits and 2 walks given up in 5.2 innings (if we discard Otero's first inning). Four of the relievers didn't give up a hit, Mota only gave up one (in 1.1 IP).

My fear both last season and this is that the bullpen wouldn't be able to hold up as it did the previous year. Here's to hoping I'm wrong again.
