I swear the Sharks must shoot more shots wide than everyone else in the league combined (only a slight exaggeration). The Sharks could have a dman at the blue line with 3 guys in front of the net and he'll still try to pick the corner instead of shooting into the pads for a rebound or trying for a deflection.
Tuned in just in time for the Vlasic goal. That guy has shown more offensive skill this year than in all previous years combined. Willing to keep the puck on his stick, escape moves, jumping up aggressively on the rush on top of even better defense it seems. Tonight's goal showed some good skill even though he flubbed the first shot at the loose rebound.
Yeah the Sharks outplayed the Caps and definitely deserved the win. Great finish to the homestand hope they keep it up on the road trip. The Sharks will spend a lot of time away from the tank over the next couple months.
Good 60-minute game by Sharks. Great clean hitting as well. I still find it hard to believe that one of the most talent-packed teams in the league is ranked 17th on the PP. We saw the Caps' crisp tic-tac-toe PP and it looked great compared to SJ's, even tho the Sharks happened to score. Sharks need to bring in a PP specialist coach ASAP if they want a chance at the Cup.
