There was some talk today that this is what Elway has had in mind all along. Osweiler when we drafted him was not a great fit behind what Manning likes to do but he does have the perfect build of what Kubiak likes to do with an offense. So far we have seen that with Osweiler in he does seem much more comfortable in this offense and has been able to make some plays. Could Elway have been thinking almost 4 years in advance of what he hoped would happen? Probably a bit far fetched but it also wouldn't surprise me.

In fact you could make the case Elway has drafted guys on offense for Kubiak and guys on Defense for Phillips - by the time the new coaches arrived the players for their schemes were already in place.

oh I agree and I wish they would get rid of preseason and just keep all of roster in tacked just as is all the players and be 53 on game day is all and make the 4 preseason games regular season games ..Let other 40 or so get a year lifting weights and a chance game...more development this way ..

You could scrimmage the 40 players in a Spring league pay them peanuts if you really want to developer new talent
