If Tank is healthy and can contribute, I would see Dobbs(sigh, this guy isn't living to my expectations personally) being the odd man out...

Id be fine with Dobbs for Tank. Bethel-Thompson for Crabtree.. Keep Baldwin he's under contact thru next year i believe.

Dobbs actually played well last game. I saw him collapsing the pocket once or twice.

Here's something I've been meaning to look up. Gore is currently in a rare stretch for him of carrying the ball 20+ times in a 3 out of 4 game stretch. He's gone for 20, 17, 25, and 24 in the last 4 games. I don't think Gore has ever had a stretch of carrying the ball 20+ times in 4 out of 5 games.

The last time Frank Gore had 20+ carries in 3 out of 4 games (in any stretch) was 2010.

10/17 vs. OAK - 25 for 149 yds, 0 TDs
10/24 @ CAR - 19 for 102 yds, 0 TDs
10/31 vs. DEN - 29 for 118 yds, 1 TD
11/14 vs. STL - 22 for 87 yds, 1 TD

Note: The team's bye week came after the Denver game so Gore got a rest.

Note #2: Two weeks after the STL game, Gore broke his hip against Arizona.

----

The last time prior to that where he carried 20+ times in 3 out of 4 games was in 2009 (games 13-16 where he carried 25, 16, 28, and 23 times to finish the year).

The time prior to that where he carried 20+ times in 3 out of 4 games was in 2007 (games 13-16 again where he carried 16, 29, 21, and 23 times to finish the year).

Prior to that he did it once in 2006 (games 9-12 where he carried 22, 24, 21, and 13 times). In that season he had one of his better stretches where he went for 159, 212, 134, and 40 yards). Beyond that stretch he finished the year with 130 yards, 144 yards, 51 yards, and 153 yards but didn't record 20+ carries except for in 2 of those final 4 games.

Those are the only times in his career where he's done this.

Mario Manningham - WR - 49ers

Coach Jim Harbaugh is not ruling Mario Manningham (knee, PUP) out of Sunday's game against the Jaguars.

Manningham began to practice last week as he works his way off a December 2012 ACL tear. Once activated, he'll be eased in for limited snaps as the No. 3 passing option on a run-first team.

Cecil Shorts - WR - Jaguars

Cecil Shorts (clavicle) returned to practice Thursday, as expected.

Shorts' sprained SC joint is better than it was last week, when he played through pain for a 8/80/0 line. Just like teammate Justin Blackmon, he's a WR2 against the 49ers.
