Brandon Brooks - G - Texans

The Texans are getting back LT Duane Brown (turf toe) in Week 5 against the 49ers, but will be without RG Brandon Brooks (toe).

Toe injuries seems to be almost infectious on Houston's offensive line. Four games in, Brooks ranks 40th among 70 qualifiers in Pro Football Focus' guard ratings. PFF has graded Brooks far better in run than pass blocking.

Andre Johnson - WR - Texans

Texans coach Gary Kubiak confirmed Friday Andre Johnson (shin) will play in Week 5 against the 49ers barring unforeseen setbacks.

"Andre, unless there’s a setback or something tomorrow, looks fine," Kubiak said. "He took a lot more today in practice. We’re heading in the right direction right there." Johnson is a plug-and-play WR1 against San Francisco.

Vernon Davis (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 5 against Houston.

Davis isn't in danger of missing Sunday Night Football. He practiced on a limited basis every day this week and will be ten days removed from his last game.

49ers ILB Patrick Willis (groin) is listed as questionable for Week 5 against the Texans.

"We'll see," coach Jim Harbaugh said when asked whether Willis will play on Sunday Night Football. The coach just seems to be playing coy. Willis practiced on Friday and has had a ten-day layoff following last Thursday night's win. It would be surprising were Willis not active against the Texans.

49ers DC Vic Fangio believes the chances of ILB Patrick Willis (questionable, groin) playing in Week 5 against the Texans are "better than 50-50."

Willis' availability won't be formally decided until 90 minutes before Sunday night's kickoff, but he's trending in the right direction. He practiced on Friday and looks in track to start, sending Michael Wilhoite back to the bench.

I would hope to see VD playing tonight....and Willis...if they are really ready to play. If not ,let them sit. We need both for the long term....not for this one game as tough as it may be.
