Should be interesting and give us a better understanding of where we stand as a team. Its at home so I give the 49ers a reasonable shot at winning. If that front seven gets after Kaepernick though, look out.

i'd think we'll win. Houston comes off a tough game against Seattle, and then travels to SF. SF would've rested extra days.

I thought the same about Indy though. They should have won that game going away and Houston is much better than Indy.

Damn this would of been exciting to see Watt and Al Smith getting after the QB. I think this is why we got this sunday night game.

How u guys seeing this go down?
I'm pretty concerned bout there D vs are offese.
Also texans go 2 go to running backs and a top reciever in Andre that none of are DB's could cover.

If we stick to the game plan that was used against the rams and put pressure on matt schaub we will be fine, just wear down the Texans d by keeping them on the field.

I believe this will be our third game against Houston. We are 1-1 with each team winning at home. Last game was 2009.

I think we got this. We have extra rest and we're at home.

Seahawks winning took some excitement out of this game. We are still 2 games behind. Colts defeating Seattle could change this though

Last time we played them it was the game where Alex Smith came in at the half and then threw 3 TDs down the post for VD just coming up short for a big comeback to retake his starting job from Shaun Hill and put an end to that whole Hill is better than Smith crap.

Oh yeah, I forgot all about that. Then the Texans made a huge mistake in taking Mario Williams (sarcasm). Reggie is a solid back but I believe that both us and the Texans have better options at RB right now.

Texans were exploited through the air at times last season, hopefully we can have a big day. The key for us is balance, our coaching staff seems to lose their heads during the game and completely forget that we have a run game.

Agreed. That front 7 is going to have Kaepernick spinning in circles.

If we run smash mouth, downhill football they win. I feel better about the season after Thursday because Harbaugh/Roman went back to the offensive scheme we were all begging them to go to. I really think we get the win here. Maybe we even get still is back as well.

I just can't see the Texans losing three games in a row. I was hoping for the "Beat Seattle and have a let down after a big win" scenario for the Niners to pull this out.
