Easy for you to be optimistic since you've locked up the AFCE. The Broncos need to win out against two division rivals and we have an offense that scores one touchdown about every three games. Thanks for the well wishes but we're going to need a modern day NFL miracle to get to the big dance.

To be completely honest I am not confident as I should be. But thank you. The Broncos took losses hard and they will step it up and make the big dance!

I see this season talk ...last year our O was crazy bad also .

this Off Season is a must fix on this O or IMO heads should Roll

I am already fine with a new OL Coach starting today .

The OL has stunk to high hell wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to long .

I am fine with there not being one OL starter on this next year that is how pissed I am about it ..

Our Rushing game as a team cannot get any worse I am so ashamed .

This is a two year mess .

this staff has never hit with this team Offense players not one time ??????????????? Not with Manning either ..

Not one game were I said wow.

Just watched Stephenson get overpowered on bull rushes resulting in pressures and sacks in the NE game. Ugly.

Donald Stephenson nor Ty Sambraillo can pass block and get pushed back 5 yards routinely.

I'm not sure what the scouts and coaches are not seeing when evaluating Olineman but its really bad to trout these two guys out there to play RT.

At this stage we don't have another option.

How easy would it be to cut Stephenson at end of year? Not sure what the contract was set up like.

Sammy looks like a backup at best... At this stage he might have a short NFL career.

Weekly PFF Grades came out and Norwood is the first player in PFF grading history to be the lowest scorer in the league at two positions in the same game! Returner and slot!

First if you took my comments as ragging on you, you shouldn't. The majority was lighthearted joking. Like being long winded.
Most of our differences is semantics. Trying to pull all that together in a year, I think is still a long row to hoe. Combined with a lot of what ifs.

1-2. Shanny is a good option but how many teams are going to try and bring him in? Then trying to bring his assistants with him. does Wade Phillips stay around? I haven't seen another Scar out there sorry.

3. Olinemen is going to be a bloodbath is all I'm saying. Good luck. Sure you may find a diamond but you may not.

4. I would hope some growth from your young QBs. But you moved the goal post on me. The way I read it, you were comparing them to possibly being Brady or Manning like.

Don't lose sight of what I originally said. Denver will still be a good team. But if things continue along the current path they will be 2nd tier.

1) I would think if Kubiak retires the Broncos team jumps to the top of the list of choices for most coaches. They are not walking into a dumpster fire like LA or Jacksonville. They are walking into an already established defense, secure Front Office, youth on offense, a decent draft situation (5 picks in the first 3 rounds of the draft and 7 picks in the first 4), and a cap situation that is under control allowing you as a coach to make some moves to get guys to fit what you want to do. There is the Bronco connection with his dad obviously loved in Denver and his dad actually living in Denver. So it would be a homecoming for Kyle.

As for his staff well just because you haven't heard of his OL coach doesn't mean he hasn't been good. Just as an example...
Worked with the Seahawks in 2014 when they lead the league in rushing even though they had 8 different starting combinations on the OL. Lead the league in explosive plays and explosive running plays that season.

Before that served with the Redskins where they saw the team lead the league in rushing and have their first rushing crown since 1933.

Before that he was with the Raiders where he helped produce an actually very good offense for them in the middle of a terrible run of seasons. They were 6th in scoring that season and saw a huge leap in the run game from previous seasons.

You guys know Scar but how many other OL Coaches around the league do you actually know? Do you think Scar is the only good one out there?

3) We will just have to see what is available on the open market and what the Broncos do. Again to me though I think coaching has been more the issue than the talent.

4) I'm sorry if I was confusing. No I don't expect Lynch or Siemian to be at Brady or Manning type levels now if ever. If the Broncos can get above average production from the QB position though paired with this defense they can easily be a force in the NFL. Not like they have to go score 30 points a game to keep winning.

And I guess for me I'm not going to allow one bad season (in Bronco standards) to think this team is heading down a bad path. They made a choice to go with some QB's with 0 experience. They changed 4 OL players in one season. If I remember right have the 3rd youngest offense in all of football. So there should be an expectation of some growth when you are putting in so many new pieces as the years go on.

Stephen A. Smith really ripped into Gary Kubiak today. Said he doesn't believe in him. he isn't a leader.... When the team lost Manning they lost all leadership on offense and their HC isn't a leader.

Sorta what I was talking about earlier.

I Don't by that ..He is full of shit .

Manning is a great leader to a point . Plenty time Manning failed himself .

Kubiak has been a part of winning 4 SB's as a Coaching/ staff and add no telling how many as player .

He has a clue what needs to be done .

The OL has snuffed out his Offense .. I

13 drives for NE and 16 points not very good. Actually really bad compared to league average
4.3 ypp not very good actually very bad compared to league average.
B.B. Played fox ball because the offense was so intpt
Our D right now matches up well against the pats
Hopefully our O can become something better than 3 points
Even getting to 10 would have put pressure on NE to throw a little more
Thier receivers were pretty much non factor
Bennett made one catch but so did IRman and the ex pat dropped a couple of first downs
Maybe he's still on their payroll

I mean I just don't see them missing the play offs, I just can't. They do have the leaders... Just wonder if the offense will get their heads out of their rears... Which is certainly possible.

The same amount as most NFL analyst. You don't need to have a super bowl ring to have an opinion.

I think Smith has a valid point. Not saying it is right or wrong, but we don't need to be acting like the guy is crazy because he made a negative point about our beloved Broncos. It's not like he said our defense was overrated or something. HA!

I haven't kept up with the thread, so I apologize if anyone else has raises this point.

Of course Smith doesn't need a ring to have an opinion. But as a discerning consumer of whose opinion is worth a shit or not, I'm not inclined to give Smith the benefit of the doubt. I've tried over the years but his style of "analysis through volume" and opinions that are less rational so much as designed to generate ratings are a big part of why I tune him out whenever his gums start flapping. I seriously doubt he knows the first thing about championship caliber leadership and coaching. Still free to have an opinion, of course, but a vastly unqualified one.

Well and I would say when ESPN is asking these media guys to analyze such a wide variety of sports and situations it is impossible for them to be knowledgeable about them all. With Smith I'm willing to listen to some of his thoughts on basketball as that is his comfort zone but when it comes to football I've seen him struggle to know anybody beyond just the stars of the league.

Same when national media people begin to talk about the Broncos. They just won't have the overall knowledge of the team compared to many of the local guys that all they do is follow this team.

I also think it is hard to judge leadership skills from your TV.

CD, you really have to take off the Blue and Orange glasses. We're in an age where many coaches DON'T like to coach other people's draft picks and free agent pick ups. Coaches take wicked shots to the nutz because a team loses game after game, but if he doesn't make the final selection of draft picks or FAs, he can't be held 100% responsible. Elway has ALL of the power in Denver and regardless of how good or bad a coach actually is, Elway has the final say about everything football on the Broncos. The owner backs him 100%. As difficult as it may be to accept, Belichick has proven that having control of a football team as both coach and GM is the most successful way to operate. No other team in the history of the NFL has ever had 17 straight years of winning. No other team has had as many SB appearances. No other team has ever won 10 straight division championships.

Nobody really knows how much input that Kubiak has about drafting or signing players. We only know what they tell us or feed us. I'm sure that at some point Kubiak has wanted someone and Elway has just said 'No". Would that guy have made a difference? Who knows? I think Kubiak is an outstanding coach. Would he be a good GM? We'll probably never know.

Think about other successful teams and their coaches.........Philly, KC, Seattle, Arizona, Pittsburgh a few where the coach has a lot of control. There are teams that are successful where they have less.....Dallas, Atlanta, Minnesota, Detroit, and Denver.

Eventually in places where a GM who's never coached has control, there has to be friction and the final words of coach are pretty simple......"I didn't pick this team."

He's got a hell of a track record. See Cannon, Marcus.

Never said he doesn't. If I didn't come to these Patriot boards though I wonder how much I would actually even know who he is. OL coaches are just not usually house hold names. Really the only other one beyond the ones I have researched this year is Tom Cable for the Seahawks. It always cracks me up that Seahawks fans every year want this guy fired at the beginning of the season yet you hear broadcasters rave about what he can do for young players.
