I'd love to know the actual number already. This isn't something I'm just starting either. I've held grudges (somewhat kidding) against many members of this personnel department, former and current, for over a decade now of players that I was screaming for in the draft or FA. Quite often I'll scream for someone in the draft and then STILL want him to come to the 49ers once he hits FA.

How many are actually on the roster?

Yikes. Dobson may have been running for a while there if the ball wasn't broken up. There appeared to be only 1 other DB on that side of the field.

Wow. Looks like the NE player pushed the ATL gunner into Julian. Yikes that was loud even on TV.

I've argued with some for quite a while that he's the largest defender in the NFL.

Remember Gilbert Brown of the Packers? How do you think Wilfork stacks up to him?

How many are actually on the roster?

In alphabetical order just so I don't forget anybody:

Chris Culliver
Kendall Hunter
Mike Iupati
Corey Lemonier
Ray McDonald
Bruce Miller (Although, I badly wanted him as a pass rushing specialist so he may not count)
Eric Reid
Ian Williams (I had him ranked as my 2nd favorite UDFA since 1998 when they signed him - behind Jason Peters)
Patrick Willis

Note: They all were not players that were number one on the top of my list when they were taken but those are all the players that were in the consideration of players I deeply liked.

-----------------

Other additions I like(d) but ones that I wasn't necessarily real vocal about wanting to see them added before they came on board:

Nnamdi Asomugha

Anquan Boldin (I didn't know just HOW available he was, otherwise he could be placed up above)

Ahmad Brooks

Vernon Davis (Loved watching him as a player and I had high hopes but I wasn't in love with investing a pick that high on him)

Phil Dawson (Was kind of vocal about seeing him added if they were going to go with a vet)

Chuck Jacobs (He was the first guy I wanted to see added to the PS)

--------------

Now, if I'll eat some crow. Some players that panned out or seem like they're panning out that I was quite unhappy with when they were brought on:

Alex Boone (Didn't even want them to spend the time on him. Footwork/technique/character issues)

NaVorro Bowman for about a half hour (That was when I thought he was being added as an OLB. When I found out he was going inside I kind of shut my yap from that point on and just let it play out)

Anthony Davis

Glenn Dorsey (It's early but I'll list him)

Frank Gore (Anybody remember my tirade on him? Didn't think he's stay healthy. Thought it would be a waste for that reason)

Joe Staley (I went on another tirade about him, too. Watched almost every game he started because I had family members that went to school with him. I was so unhappy with that selection)

Michael Crabtree

I do remember him but I was a little young and wasn't paying attention to football like I do now so I'd honestly have to look at a picture to decide if I think he was larger in his days.

Brown was listed at something like 330 lbs, but man, he looked like he easily could've been 400 lbs.

Man, I may have been robbed of a Ridley TD. Hope it doesn't come down to that. Oh well.

I wouldn't have had the guts to go for it on 4th down there but they HAD the Patriots there after the snap but Ryan couldn't make the easy throw. Wow!

Typical. Should've been crunched in a sack and then he heaves up garbage and the receiver comes down with it.

For how often it's said on TV and radio, you'd think Tom Brady's backs, receivers and tight ends are by far in the lead for most passes dropped in the NFL. Not the case:

Sam Bradford - 15
Peyton Manning - 13
Robert Griffin III - 12
Josh Freeman - 10
Colin Kaepernick - 10
Alex Smith - 10
Tom Brady - 9
Matthew Stafford - 9
Joe Flacco - 8
Eli Manning - 8
EJ Manuel - 8
Ryan Tannehill - 8
Philip Rivers - 7
Geno Smith - 7
