Looks like next week for R+L=J!! I thought they may have tied the resurrection and that into one episode. I'm excited to see it, non-the-less.

I thought Roose was being a bit too frank with Ramsay regarding his succession, basically asking for Ramsay to kill him. Nice parallel to how Roose killed Robb though. Roose was looking the Lannister attack, when he should have been wary of his own men. Looks like Lord Karstark was totally in on it. We also got a Manderly name-drop, which was pretty cool.

Didn't think about the Roose thing that way but I definitely can see where you're coming from. What goes around comes around eventually. Just like I think sooner or later, Ramsay will have his comeuppance and either Theon or Sansa will get to do the honors.

A few thoughts on tonight's episode and what future episodes might entail

Man that sucks Jon Snow died. A few episodes ago I sort of thought he might go at the hands of a white walker but then one of friends told me about the Jon Snow- Targaryen theory and it seemed so spot on I figured there was no way they would kill him off, at least this season.

All this said, I can totally see a huge twist here. Melisandre is now in the same place Jon Snow is and Jon Snow is the next closest thing to anything royal. Could she use the Lord of Light to bring Jon Snow back from the dead the same way Thoros did with the Brothers Against Banners? But I guess you may ask why would she do this rather than sticking around Winterfell and bringing Stannis back to life?

Called it:D

Sorry for people who have to wait until 9, but if you're on the internet right now it was spoiled anyway.

JON fooking returns!! And Ghost didn't even have to die!

Oh and Roose is dead, Fat Walda is dead, the baby is dead, Balon is back aaaaaand he's dead (I'd love to hear non-book readers impression of that), Bran is back and having visions, Tyrion released the Dragons! This felt more like an episode rather than last week's setup.

Only thing I'm disappointed about is fucking Olly not getting slammed against that wall instead of "Night's Watchman". Oh well, can't wait to see Thorne's and Olly's faces when Jon walks through those doors!

You forgot perhaps the most important thing:

Hodor can say other things besides hodor. Or as Hodor would say:

"Hodor, hodor, hodor... hodor"

I think Roose was trying to tame his "wild dog", but all it ended up doing was provoke him more.

In one way I'm happy to see Snow back, but it was way too predictable and there better be some kind of repercussion for being dead that long and returning.

Most of the rest of this episode really got things going after last weeks sort of slow return/setup show.

I think it was more arrogance. Roose figured that Ramsay was never going to betray him after he legitimized him as a Bolton. That's why he kept throwing it in his face. I do however think that Roose was a better King than Ramsay will be. Ramsay probably thinks if they all fear him, they'll all bow down to him. But I think that'll bite him in the ass and they'll all get tired of it after a while and revolt and take him down, possibly with Sansa leading the charge and possibly with a Greyjoy army as allies.

Agreed. Roose's own words "A Peaceful Land, a Quiet People". That is not Ramsay. He mentioned the Bolton's, Umber's, Karstark's and Manderly's armies equal the strength of the other Northern houses combined, but I'll bet he only ends up with one of those armies if the time comes. The Freys won't help now with Walda dead. Sansa probably get's her revenge, and if Jon joins in, with the Wildlings? GN

I think that Jon is probably going to be more focused on the White Walkers from here on out, which is why I think instead, Sansa will try to get Theon to convince his family to take out the Bolton army in some type of deal.

So having a newborn murdered by dogs is okay but somehow having Ollie get skull fucked by that Giant is out of the question? What a load of shit man.

I enjoyed that one overall though. Just hate to see Roose go like that. He's a dick, but he's way more interesting than Ramsay who has somehow turned into a evil genius on top of a master battle commander and strategist. Seemed forced but I guess they're trying to force their way through the series with this being the final full season before two really short ones.

We all knew Jon was coming back, but I really thought they were drawing that last scene out in order to pull a fast one and not revive him quite yet. Shows what I know.

Man how brutal must Braavos be where you can have a 30ish year old able woman beating on a teenaged blind chick in the streets and nobody does a thing about it?

Oh and yeah that episode was much better than last week's. This season is beginning to look really good!

Looks like the Bran flashbacks are slowly going to reveal R+L=J. Can't wait for TOJ!

Anyone else think that Euron could be the Harpy? I've read a lot of theories that Daario is Euron and others that say Daario is the Harpy. It's not so obvious in the books but we can now clearly see that Daario is not Euron and I don't think he's the Harpy either, but I don't think I've seen any that think Euron is the Harpy.

I don't think that is specific to Braavos. Beggars are lower than dogs in Westros, I think (I know. Braavos is not in Westros. But you know what I mean)

Well, Tyrion removed the collars... but...

... I wonder if the pit/dungeon in Meereen has a skylight, loading dock or other convenient large egress, hehe.

After, of course, he deals with Olly and Thorne.

I subscribe to the theory that book Daario is not really on Dany's side, and he just wants a dragon or something. I read a lot of those theories too (Euron=Daario), they are entertaining to think about, that's for sure. But no.

FWIW, it seems like the show has taken Daario in a completely different direction. I mean, it starts with the looks. But his motives too. It would be a COMPLETE U-turn if Daario betrayed Dany at this point. He's shown too much affection. In the books, he's still this wildly mysterious, lustful, killer. You don't really see him too much unless he fucking Dany. In the show, he just seems like a younger Jorah, or an attractive Bronn.

I could see Daario turning on Jorah, or vice-versa, but I don't think either will turn on Dany.

As for the Harpy, I thought it was either Hizdar or the Green Grace. Well, Hizdar is now dead in the show and the Green Grace doesn't exist in the show, so IDK. But the Harpy seem to be doing pretty well without their leader if it was Daario (burned the fleet), which again makes me doubt he's up to anything.

The Harpy could be someone from Qarth, both in the show and books.

I was thinking the same thing, how the hell are they going to fit through that little door? They'll probably just end up out of it somehow. We didn't see how they got in either.

I think Jon deals with uniting the north before dealing with the White Walkers.

He won't have much choice anyway, Ramsay is coming for him.

Ramsay won't have near the backing he thinks he does particularly against two children of the Starks. Karstark is about it.

From the trailers released before the premier, it appears the wildlings and Boltons clash at some point...if you look close it sure looks like Jon is riding in on a horse there.

But, I agree, we need some white walker movement.
