Had to roll my eyes a bit at the "fuck fate, it's us against the world bb" line but overall good episode.

My thought process during that last scene "Aww yeah.... oh jesus... God, God no... why have you forsaken me?".

This does appear to be the case. Why he was chilling out on the boat, why we didn't get some scene with Jaime confronting him about Myrcella, and how the Sand Snakes got there undetected is still a mystery. Again, maybe they explain it but I have a feeling they won't.

I didn't mind the Dorne consolidation last season at all even though most people did. But the way they handled it (so far) in that first episode of season 6 just seems ridiculous. There really isn't a reason for them to be on the show at all now. Ellaria is pissed because Oberyn was killed. Who the fuck cares. He wasn't murdered. It was Trial By Combat and Oberyn lost because he was being a cocky little shit. STFU. If they kept Doran alive for awhile, at least we could have seen some plotting with how Dorne may influence the Iron Throne and Ellaria screwing it up but NOPE. Throw it all away in 5 minutes. Now I know its not really fair to comment on it since we don't know where its going and it may turn out ok, but still. Just seemed like a huge waste.

And then there's just some logic gaps that are likely just lazy writing such 1)How the Sand Snakes got to King's Landing so fast to kill Tristane and B) Why the fuck didn't Jaime turn the boat around when Myrcella died? Like seriously, they were still in the damn harbor. You'd think he'd turn around and be like "Bro, one of you just poisoned Myrcella? WTH?! I thought we were cool".

Ha, that's a good point. I'm still tryin' to figure out how Jorah found that ring so easily.

While I agree to a point, there was the trampled grass around where Dany was standing, so there was actually a pretty small area for him to look. He basically went to the center of the non-trampled grass and looked down.

Yeah I had asked the original question about where he was, but after watching it a second time, he was definitely on the boat and the boat was definitely still in the Harbour at King's Landing. I was thrown off by the fact the when the Sand Snakes entered and he told them he wasn't hungry. It had me assuming he was their prisoner either on a boat or in a tower somewhere in Dorne. After watching more carefully the 2nd time, he clearly didn't realize who he was talking to and seemed surprised to see it was the Sand Snakes. I'm not sure where Bronn was in all of this. Didn't see him on the boat with Jamie and Myrcella's body, but can't really say for certain he wasn't on that boat. Hard to imagine he would have been on the main ship with Trystane but they wouldn't have bothered to show us how the Sand Snakes managed to get past him.

And yeah a scene with Bronn and Jamie and Trystane after Myrcella dies would have been nice. Even if they never suspected he had any part in her death (or at least not for very long) it would have been nice to see the interactions between the 3, and how Bronn and Jamie came to that conclusion. Maybe they just wanted to put an end to the entire Dorne storyline as quickly as possible and chose not to bother with those types of details.

I couldn't decide if I should roll my eyes or be semi-amused by The Family Guy-ish comedy(?) bit between the new Dothraki characters as they discussed the finest things in life. I wasn't even entirely sure if it was intended to be funny but other people I spoke to thought that it was. It seemed a little out of place but maybe that's why they did it. Perhaps we were too accustomed to Drogo and the other Dothraki's from the early seasons that they wanted to give this khalasar a bit of a different vibe? I dunno.....

I have a feeling no matter what happens to the Dorne storyline from now until the end of the series, we'll never get to see what they had originally planned for it. I'm guessing due to the backlash they got from season 5 that they decided to abort that storyline altogether, or at least alter it.

I was actually quite looking forward to the change from the books when I learned that Jamie and Bronn would be going to Dorne in season 5, but I was mostly disappointed with how it turned out last season. But like yourself I was hopeful that there would eventually be a payoff. But given the characters that were left out and killing Doran, Hotah, and Trystane just like that, makes it hard to imagine there will be much of a payoff now.

But yeah Ellaria, what better way to avenge Oberyn's death along with the death of his sister and her children, then to kill more members of Oberyn's family and to have 3 of his daughters be in on the act. :L

Oberyn was a pretty awesome character and I think the actor nailed it, that's what pisses me off even more about his girlfriend and daughters turning out to be such terrible characters on the show.

One part of the episode I really liked was when Ramsay was mourning his dead girlfriend. They showed he can actually care for someone else and had a bit of a soft spot for her, but then at the end of that scene he tells his maester to feed her body to the hounds.

What I didn't get? The Red Witch climbing into bed as if to sleep for the night?!?!? Didn't the guys in the room protecting Snow have till nightfall to make a decision? Or maybe she's just a day sleeper? Was it the day before but they showed it the scene out of order?

And that stupid bed scene is the only time I covered my eye's in the entire series... If I wanted to see that crap I would keep the lights on when my wife goes to bed.

Oberon paints the ground with his gray matter? No prob.

Tywin skins an elk while talking with his son? Bring it on.

Ned loses his head. Seconds, please.

For those of you who watched the Season 6 premier episode on Sunday, take another look at the scene where Brienne & Pod rescue Sansa.... and then ask yourself ---- WTF happened to the vicious Bolton blood hounds and why aren't they eating Sansa's face while everybody else battles?

They haven't been ordered to attack.

Yup. Their job was to help locate her. She's no good to them Bolton's dead, unless they could somehow convince the rest of the North that it was their enemy that killed her. They seem most concerned with the Lannisters right now, so I think that would be a pretty tough sell since none of the are known to be in the North.

Now why didn't they order the hounds to attack Brienne and Pod is another story.

I took it as she's climbing into bed waiting for death. I think her necklace not only keeps her young, but is keeping her alive. But she's all shook up from how things turned out with Stannis that she's seriously questioning her faith to the Lord of Light and/or her own abilities. So she sees no point in living, takes off the necklace revealing her true self, and just climbs into bed waiting for it to be over. She looked like 300 years old, probably won't last too long without it

Sorry for people who have to wait until 9, but if you're on the internet right now it was spoiled anyway.

JON fooking returns!! And Ghost didn't even have to die!

Oh and Roose is dead, Fat Walda is dead, the baby is dead, Balon is back aaaaaand he's dead (I'd love to hear non-book readers impression of that), Bran is back and having visions, Tyrion released the Dragons! This felt more like an episode rather than last week's setup.

Only thing I'm disappointed about is fucking Olly not getting slammed against that wall instead of "Night's Watchman". Oh well, can't wait to see Thorne's and Olly's faces when Jon walks through those doors!

They're definitely starting up the R+L=J

I enjoyed the episode and definitely thought that it was a matter of time before Jon returned. Ramsay's offing Roose shocked me at first but then I thought, that sounds right for Ramsay since he wants to be the ruler. Don't think that'll work out too well in the long run for him but I guess we'll see. Once Roose was dead, you could definitely see Walda and the baby dying.

I'm going to really enjoy seeing Thorne and Olly's faces next week when they find out Jon's alive again. Would've loved to have seen the Giant smash one of them like he did to the guy that shot him with the arrow.

Looks like next week for R+L=J!! I thought they may have tied the resurrection and that into one episode. I'm excited to see it, non-the-less.

I thought Roose was being a bit too frank with Ramsay regarding his succession, basically asking for Ramsay to kill him. Nice parallel to how Roose killed Robb though. Roose was looking the Lannister attack, when he should have been wary of his own men. Looks like Lord Karstark was totally in on it. We also got a Manderly name-drop, which was pretty cool.
