Thought about this the other day....there was no other “baddie” I missed anywhere near as much as Tywin. He was an amazing character, and Charles Dance was phenomenal. I would put my vote here.

He was the Lannister patriarch and would stop at nothing for his legacy. But he had layers too in his way. The scenes with Arya at Harranhal were some of the best of the show.

Yeah those were good. He was a very interesting character and a shit of a father.

I forgot when I mentioned his scenes with Arya that the scenes with Olenna were even better.

No matter how good the actor in the scene with him he made them better in those scenes.

Who would have thought it from the lukewarm baddie in the Last Action Hero?

As much work went into making this fanart of Jon and Ghost as D&D put into writing season 8:

Okay so I avoided this thread, all media news and just binge watched the final season after my two week Vaca in NH. I heard a lot of people were frustrated with the end, I had no issues with this, I think it was just about perfect

That's him alright...

There it is. Yeah. Such a horrible, watchable movie.

It took a moment watching him on GoT to forget this. Just a moment. I do remember wondering where his glass eye was lol

Kind of like watching Brian Cranston on BB. Hated him so much in Malcolm in the Middle. But still only took a short bit to see past it.

Just started season eight...

What took eight years for some, I've watched in over several weeks.

It was much better the second time. Once you accept some of the endings it really wasnt bad at all.

I watched season eight this week after starting season one about eight weeks ago.

Not how I hope it would end...

I was hoping Jon Snow would rule, what I don't get is how they found out that John stabbed Dany, because it seemed to me that no one else saw him stabbing her.

I think they could have drawn it out a couple more episodes to get a better story ending.

On the other hand it kind of opened up to other story plots with the surviving family members.

Hopefully, there will be new story lines to come out next year.

It was called bittersweet for a reason.

Jon copped to it. He is the epitome of honor so he probably told Grey Worm how it went down. He got a satisfying ending though. All he wanted was to be left alone-he didn't want to lead the Nights Watch the North or the Crown and every step was his destiny. His "she's muh queen" mentality was his out but he couldn't stand by and watch her burn everything so he did what he had to do. It's better for him to fade into obscurity than drink himself into Robert Barathion 2.0.

Yes, I think it probably will. Start the spoilers for it (if you dare).

I think there was political and moral message with GOT...I could be wrong though.

We have the following alive:

Sansa
Tyrion
Arya
Samwell
Davos
Brienne
Bran
Bronn
Podrick
Grey Worm
Gilly

oh yeah...

One Dragon...

There are a lot of stories to create with each those listed...

Who wouldn't want to see how Arya and her travels end up...

How does Sansa fair

There has to be the evil enemy that comes to fight against all and they all come together and fight the dragon...

You must have some ideas where you like to see it go...what are your thought's sir?

I’ve forgotten- how far along in the series are you? Did you complete it?

I believe I heard the next series is a prequel series:

Game of Thrones prequel: What we know

So who lives at the end of the completed GoT might mean very little. Of course if you really want to know:

Like St. Elsewhere, it’s all it the mind of a mentally ill person?

Certainly wanting to see how Jon Snow turns out would be worth seeing.

Wanting to see the world in 10 years would be interesting. Certainly as Bran gets older or less interested in ruling etc. Will peace remain in Westeros?

Arya is a great character but I'm not sure how interesting her future would be if she didn't find some other civilizations as opposed to just wilderness.

I am slowly (and reluctantly) finishing the last three episodes after I had to turn if off during the first 20 minutes of episode 4. Got through all of episodes 4 and 5 and they're actually a bit worse than I was expecting after I read the spoilers.

I particularly enjoyed Bronn breaking in and threatening to shoot Tyrion and Jamie and giving them some speech about how their ancestors got powerful by killing their way to the top or whatever. That's not how the Lannisters got Casterly Rock. It was basically by trickery and being clever. This was the same episode where the writers didn't know that bastards from the Crownlands don't have the surname Rivers. Those idiots really don't seem to know the source material. And this coming from a guy who read the books through one time.

Dany killing only the military for the first part of the battle in episode 5 and then all of sudden roasting civilians only after the surrender bells started ringing was retarded AF. Jamie vs. Euron and Clegane bowl were both pointless.

Also, Grey Worm is a moron. Impaling that dude in the back after everybody surrendered was also stupid AF. Just got a bunch more people killed. He and Missandei have done nothing but waste screen time for several seasons. Ser Barristan should have survived instead of Grey Worm in that alley back in season 5 or whatever.

Episode 5 was also waaaaay too long. A good half hour of pointless bullshit.

Already voted, but wanted to give an honorable mention to Olenna Tyrell for favorite character... Davos is still.my favorite, but really liked her too.

She was definitely an interesting character.. Some people (like Diana Riggs) were able to make the most of their characters.

Grey worm killed after the surrender because that is what his queen told him to do. He was triggered by Jon Snow telling the army to retreat and let them surrender. It had nothing to do with killing the surrender, he was basically doing what he wanted to do to Jon.

I just thought it would have been better with each episode cliff hanging into the next. The war with the dead was just far too short. I still dont know how it takes them weeks to walk there but are too fast when they are in the fight. If the dead war would have stopped, even with the night king approaching the broken king, it would have made looking forward to the next episode better. Instead, after two or three complete episodes end like a movie, there was no anticipation for the next.
