Right, this is the one thing that can't really be reasoned with.

I feel like it would be more in the spirit of Game of Thrones for the 'heroes' to have no rational reason to turn against her just because she is so powerful. Ala Luke Skywalker trying to kill a pupil who was too powerful in their sleep. Thats something that would happen in this universe.

Having one of the most interesting characters basically betray her entire identity for a convenient ending to have the heroes confront someone who is all of a sudden evil is just terrible.

Even the Mad King snapped after everything was lost and the Lannister forces had breached the city. Danny snapped after a clear military victory, with her goal at her reach without needing to go in that murdering spree.

If they wanted to show her snapping in a logical way, just make her almost lose the battle and then go berserk out of desperation.

and she almost snapped in that manner when her second dragon got taken out

but they should have shown her brooding more

her scene with Tyrion was pretty telling. She looked rough and they said she wasn't eating

it feels like there was a lot of reading between the lines to get you to the "Dany is losing her shit" discovery

I've gotta laugh at the Luke Skywalker comparison, just because he is the ultimate example of a milk toast character. The Mad Queen rules, and this is one of the greatest tv shows ever.

Jeezus, The Walking Dead idiot showrunners should've studied this last season on "How to Make a Zombie".

I think sometimes we forget that this is fiction.

Somehow, someway, L+R=J was going to become known. It was a central part of the entire story. The show runners chose to use it to create a rift between Jon and Dany. I suspect that Martin, if he ever finishes, will use it very differently.
Unless he was lying to the show writers or he changes his mind....I don't know.

It might come about in a different way, but I'd bet money that a rift between Jon and Dany happens in the books, too. She has to go mad in the books.

From what I have read, Dany going mad was one of the big surprises that Martin told D&D. And I agree that Jon and Dany are likely to be fighting each other at the end of the books. However I don't think it will unfold the same way.

IMO, book Jon is a lot more of a leader and far less whiny than show Jon. IMO, he takes the news of his parentage far differently than show Jon.

That would have been logical... Make her snap in a moment of distress. She should have sunk the iron fleet right there and then.

Imo, I don't think Game of Thrones works with Daenerys as a genuinely evil character. I stopped watching a couple of seasons ago but she was the benevolent dictator, the US with Nuclear Weapons, the friendly intelligent A.I. that could just wreck everyone if she wanted but thats not who she was.

Making the white walkers into Age of Ultron instead of Infinity Wars/Endgame is also pretty lame. I'm waiting for the books if they ever come out. If this was the intention all along then so be it but I think the rushed nature of the TV format has let me down.

I believe this story the GRMM was writing, the inbetween steps is where it goes off the rails

I think it would've been better if a full season was dedicated to long night and the NK and full season to cersei vs dany/jon and then jon vs dany

Have Rhaegal and Jon bond and even score with a dragon piece.....

I agree. The last "love scene" with her was with Jon Snow and we really only saw HIS butt, not hers. Very disappointing.

Emilia got her contract to stop doing nude scenes. She agreed to one final nude scene when she burned the Khal's along with all her clothes

Fucking lame.

Stupid bitch makes a name for herself by showing her ass, then decides she's too good for that. She should fire her manager for that gaffe.

Oh well, she's got a bright future in Lifetime made for TV movies.

Good thing she didn’t eat since Varys was trying to poison her via little bird.

well yea, but I don't think she wasn't eating because she was wise to Varys attempts...

I think it was stress/depression/whatever that made her not have an appetite.

maybe that Starbucks wasn't sitting right in her belly and she had to poop
