Times running out. And the dragon will travel fast. They don't have the time.

We need to get the anti-climax of beating the Night King before finishing the story up in Kings Landing against Cersei.

I was kind of hoping they could lure Cersei's forces north to attack Winterfell, except when they get there they run headlong into the Night King's forces and the northerners are nowhere to be found...

Obviously there are some logistical issues there, but...

The dragons would be unable to fly period, they're simply too large. I believe the largest flying is bird is roughly ~30lbs. I don't think we need to worry about holes in the wing, reality has already been suspended

I mean, where does it store the fire it breathes?

Well if we're getting technical again the largest flying animal ever was about the size of a giraffe. As far as fire goes I thought the movie "Reign of Fire", for all its faults, had a decent explanation. It's just two glands in the mouth that expel chemicals that, when combined, produce fire. Pretty vague but you can't really get too detailed with it or you're right it doesn't make sense.

Oh yeah, I wasn't suggesting it was a plot hole. Was actually just questioning her logic in accusing Tyrion of Tommen's death... Myrcella, as you mention, makes more sense as it was he who sent her out of Cersei's sphere of influence and out of the reach of her protection.

Oh I definitely know that you weren't making that suggestion. I was just making it clear that I wasn't suggesting it was a plot hole either.

Friendly reminder that Jon and Dany are the bad guys.

Tell me why you would root for anyone but Cersei and Euron or The Night King?

You first.

Why root for Cersei?

Why root for Euron (urine)?

Why root for the NK?

Btw, I am open to this. I love alternate theories. I am a big fan of the fact that Daniel in The Karate Kid was actually the bully and not the blond haired kid (forget his name)

Yes, because Jon and Dany want to rebuild the wall and have the Wildlings pay for it.

Someone is going to have to tell them that the Night King has a dragon. If Tormund or Beric survived (I imagine one or both of them did) they would send word to Winterfell that shit is going down.

Winterfell now knows about the undead dragon....Bran saw the Night King's attack on the Wall via warging through the birds.

Good thing Bran was sitting outside by the tree, and warging into the birds at the exact moment of the attack...great timing by Bran...hehe.

It won't take long before the living find out that the dead have a dragon. I have a theory about the NK flying around and raising more dead for his army.

See my post #4241 above.....Winterfell already knows about the undead dragon...courtesy of Bran.

With the amount of time it takes the WW to get to Winterfell I think they have the time to build just about any weapon.

They have some/a little bit of time... the Night King is most likely going to increase his army prior to hitting Winterfell by attacking the keeps/castles on the way to Winterfell:

The Last Hearth (House Umber) will be the first attack, then Karhold (House Karstark), then The Dreadfort (House Bolton)..... I imagine the Night King won't bother with Bear Island (House Mormont).... sure, he can certainly fly there on his undead dragon and do a solo attack, but why risk doing that since any newly raised wights would be stuck on Bear Island.

The Night King may even attack Deepwood Motte (House Glover) prior to attacking Winterfell.

I heard something the other day that HBO was missing some of it's A+ writers this season for GOT due to other obligations. So maybe that is why we got the season we did. Apparently all will be back for the final season..

I think is a was a very good season now that you can look back on it all. All the dumb filler was kept to an absolute minimum. Every scene had a purpose to move the story forward. Yes, the pace got out of hand at times, and it pissed many off on how little time it was taking for people to travel all over the place in hours and days which used to take months. The pace was frantic at times and there was some really stupid crap that went down because of it. The story at times seemed way too dumbed down a lot because of it. I've got a few serious gripes with things that happened this season, but whatever.... lifes to short to spend your hours pained over a tv show.

but I still like what was presented.

But a bigtime suggestion to the producers. Summer was a perfect time for GOT. Fall and your going to be dealing with major sunday evening competition from football season. Late summer was perfect.
For me, it's perfection that GOT wraps up right when cfb season is starting. Couldn't of scripted that any better.

Was there a previous season connection between the hound and Sir Gregor? Or did that exchange have us all confused?
Well the mountain put the Hounds face in a fire when they were Young.
Also they had gotten into a brief Sword fight before King Robert stopped them in Season 1.

Finale was good fun. It got back to having more character moments as opposed to the rushed action events the truncated season has given us. But I do have one problem.

If you've read any of my comments over the years you'll know I support the merits of the show when most are shitting on it. Well, that's changes for this one specific plot. The Arya/Sansa/LF ordeal this season is the worst piece of writing the show has done in its entire run. It's utter garbage. It's nothing more than 6 confusing, nonsensical, lazy writing driven episodes all for the sake of a "surprise" in the 7th episode. It's a surprise for the sake of a surprise and nothing more. And its not even a surprise because its really the only outcome you could think of out of this mess. There's no set up. You have no idea of the motives for any character at any point during the story. You don't even have a good insight into how they came to their conclusion. It's just "Hey! LF is bad. Let's kill him. #StarkLivesMatter". And what a waste it is for Littlefinger to go out like that. The guy is a schemer that is largely responsible for getting the ball rolling on like 75% of the overall story and he goes out in a whimper of an exposition dump. The implication is he played himself...except they never showed what game he was playing this season! You had no idea what his goals were other than "Derp, I love Sansa, derp". A lot of criticism the show gets is undeserved. It's just book fans whining. This isn't one of those times. This was a dumpster fire of a plot

Winterfell in general and Sansa specifically have been weak spots for the writing for a while now. I really think you nailed it for this season though. When Arya was brought in, I had zero expectations that she was at risk, the buildup simply didn't lead there. That it was pointed at LF, was, at best, a yawn moment.

You had the best schemer in the land and he somehow is tripped up so easily? And what the hell was his angle anyway? If it was to have Cat v 2.0, aka Sansa, why in the name of the seven would he encourage her to marry Ramsey? The whole plot line makes zero sense.

It really comes down to this, I think they needed to have screen time for specific actors, and as such, they built up story lines that filled in space. There really is no other reason for the joke that Winterfell has become.

You're damn right he won't. Lyanna Mormont ain't nothing to fuck with. She'd take out his giants and his dragon all by herself
