I won't mind if Daenerys and Jon marry for strategic/political reasons, but really hope it's not some cliché love situation. The show kind of seems to be setting up both. Her insistence that he bend the knee and his refusal to do so despite the fact they both want to be allies, seems like it can only be resolved via marriage.

I'd be shocked if it was Randyll Tarely and I'll be furious if it was Tyrion.

That would actually be really funny considering it was a full sized person that jumped and saved him.

Spectacular! Great battle scene almost made Arya's bad-ass blade a complete afterthought.

Minor quibble: How was the Daenerys and Jamie standing in what was essentially a puddle, then all of a sudden he is falling into deep water?

Ha, yeah his horse is running in the shallow part with no problem but he gets knocked off, falls two feet to the right, and then he's dropping into 40 feet of water. Sort of reminds me of Jurassic Park when the fence area turns into a big ledge when the T-Rex shows up.

Gonna be hard swimming up with a suit of armor on and a solid gold hand but I'd bet a lot of $ he takes it off and makes it up just fine. Wonder if he leaves Widow's Wail down there too?

If Jaime and Bronn are POWs you can expect there to be a serious case of Stockholm Syndrome and they could join Tyrion and Team Daenerys, if not in the fight against Cersei than at least against the White Walkers.

I know the gold magically got to Kings Landing in bullet train time, but there still seemed to be quite a portion of the Lannister Army in that battle. How much of an army do they have left now? And can someone explain to me why those forces were left so far behind the gold transport. Also would like to know how the horse army got transported to the mainland if all the ships got wasted by Eurons navy recently.

While this battle blew a hole in my theory that Oleena Tyrell had a nasty parting gift for the Lannister army leaving their kingdom, it would appear a significant amount of troops got smoked.

But one thing I see from this battle as well. The Lannisters don't have control over all the food in that portion of the kingdom anymore. Dani and her army does. Euron's ships and his forces are strictly naval/pirate types. They can't contribute jack on land.

Haha! Yeah there's that. Plus the fact that Tyrion was shown watching form a distance only seconds before. Plus I'm not sure a dwarf would be able to knock a full grown man in full armor that far from his horse. I mean sure if it was Bronn it's kind of strange that he appeared out of nowhere undetected and that the lake suddenly got so deep just a few feet in, but whatever. I can let that slide. If it's Tyrion (which of course we know it's not) then the show definitely gave up trying to make sense.

Who the fuck is going to mine Dragonstone for Dragon Glass? The Dothraki? Are Jon and Davos going to do it themselves? I hear there are some miners in the Westerlands looking for work. Maybe if Jaime and Bronn become POWs they can come to some sort of agreement. Bronn might be traded for Yara if he's lucky but they'd need more for Jaime. Or perhaps they'll need to reach out to Cersei for help which could be interesting.

If they really wanted to go weird with it they could have had Walter White drive through in his Pontiac Aztek and run Drogon over before he shot the fire out his mouth.

Those forces were so far behind the gold transport because those forces were the food gathering convoy...they were stopping at as many farms in the Reach (Tyrell territory) as possible in order to collect the recent harvest.

The living are gonna be screwed as Winter creeps further south...Dany destroyed a lot of food in that battle. The Iron Bank should invest in the salted fish market, because preserved seafood is gonna be real important now.

As for the Dothraki being able to cross Blackwater Bay from Dragonstone to mainland Westeros, remember Tyrion said that Dany still has enough ships to transport the Dothraki.

Did I miss something? When did the gold get to Kings Landing? During the conversation between Cersei and the Banker dude (name?), she said the gold was on its way and that Jaime was seeing to its transport personally. That means that the gold had not arrived yet.

Was there another scene I am forgetting about where the gold was actually delivered?

Before the battle randyll tarly tells Jaime that all of the gold was safely transferred through the gates into kings landing.

Remember Dany pledged to Jon as many workers as he needs to gather Dargonglass..... so I imagine most of those workers will be Dothraki.

Bronn has no trade/hostage value... he's a lowborn mercenary (sellsword)... he is Tyrion's friend/former paid servant, that's about it.

Hmmmm...... I think once the Iron Bank gets that gold payment and finds out that much of the Lannister army plus the food was destroyed by Dany, they are getting the hell outta King's Landing and will NOT further finance Cersei.

Jorah Mormont had better get to Dragonstone fast, so that he can advise Dany----- "Ummmm....hey Your Grace....I don't mean to be a dick.....but..... if you're gonna fly into battle again..... WEAR SOME FUCKING ARMOR.... you're immune to fire, not arrows, dumbass!"

At close range, armor probably won't stop a high velocity arrow from a longbow....but....high up in the air, a stray arrow with lower velocity at long range will probably be stopped by armor.

Once Bran gets more control over his visions, he's gonna be a walking lie detector and encyclopedia.

Littlefinger's face went stone cold when Bran told him: "Chaos is a ladder." Littlefinger now knows that Bran sees a lot because the 'chaos is a ladder' quote was from a private conversation between Littlefinger and Varys in Season Three:

“Chaos isn't a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some, are given a chance to climb. They refuse, they cling to the realm or the gods or love. Illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is."

One would think that Bran will eventually spill the beans to Arya, and let her know that Littlefinger is the cause of everything.

Doubt we see serious action with the night king and his army until the cliff hanger in ep7, but at least they are on the march. I mean they obviously lack the same teleporters they have in the south. Walking to that wall takes months and months and months. Well unless you are a cripple. That's different of course.

They gave us a few kind of 'fuck yeah' moments so can we assume we are once again about to get another gut punch? They never seem to let us be happy for long.

Zombies only walk about a mile an hour tops. Throw in the snow and you got a long walk especially if the ice king has to stop every time he sees dead people in order to make his army larger.

Isn't Littlefinger on Arya's list? I'm sure he dies, but there has to be something else for him first.

I don't think the travel time is causing the delay for the army of the dead attack....it's the weather. The White Walkers waited thousands of years for their next attack on mankind, and they want very nasty Winter weather to cover their advance. Extreme cold and/or blizzard conditions will make it very difficult for the living to fight.

The wall has "magical properties" that prevent them from crossing. So the wall has to fall, and I imagine that happens at Northwatch by the sea.

Pretty sure it was Bronn. How he suddenly appeared without anybody noticing I have no idea! Dickon Tarley would be a great candidate. They definitely seemed to be building him up to a likeable guy that episode. I assumed that meant he was going to die but apparently not. I'd be shocked if it was Randyll Tarely and I'll be furious if it was Tyrion.

You know I am going to snicker when ever I hear that name.

Great episode.

Doubtful that Randall/Dickon Tarly saved Jamie, as they were also wearing heavy armor.
Had to be Bronn.

What's the prognosis for Drogon? DTD? 15 day DL? If it were the Sixers medical staff, it's an easy 4-6 months, right???

My guess is that Jamie/Bronn now become prisoners of Dany and she uses them to barter a peace with Cersei, where Dany/Jon propose to concentrate the fight to the north. If Cersei refuses and plans to marry Euron, that gives Jamie the full go ahead to kill her. This goes back to Oleanna conversation with Jamie, the unspeakable things we do for our family and how Cersei is a disease. We could wind up with Theon freeing Arya and they get their revenge on Euron, Jamie kills Cersei, and Jamie ascends to the Iron Throne and merges with Dany/Jon to take the fight north....
