I doubt there will be a suspension. He may get a $2500 fine but that's about it.

I think Fraser with his hit on Mitchell is more likely to get suspended than Clifford. Clifford got a 5 min major with no game misconduct which means there was no facial/head injury to Couture. IMO the league will say the major was enough punishment and leave it at that.

gotta tip the hat to havlat... Since he came back, the sharks are 8-4 with at least 3 goals in 7 of those 12 games.

Going back to the start of the year, the sharks are 24-11-3 with him in the lineup and 18-18-7 without him. That's basically 24-14 vs. 18-25. Wow.

He's a great player, and losing him obviously killed them. They were having to put guys who are not top 6 forwards in his spot, and you can only get away with that for so long. It's a domino effect that weakens all the lines.

Niemi excels when he faces alot of shots, he's a rythym goalie, He only gets stronger by volume of shots. That being said first tough shot or off speed on quick is going in lol

Not all of us. I just find it funny that no one was looking at the puck or the bench out of the officials. Just another missed or bad call in a season of bad calls. If they miss a hooking call that shouldn't cause a suspention. This is no different. I said this two weeks ago: Games 81 and 82 for all the marbles.

I was listening to the Kings feed at that point in the game and the Kings color guy was saying how it wasn't a hit from behind. I was like I didn't think the hit was intended to be malicious or even that it's suspension worthy, but if that wasn't a hit from behind I don't know what is.

I watched the replay on DVR and was confused just the same when he said that. He somehow interpreted hitting the back of his shoulder as hitting the shoulder. As a wise man once said, "So what I told you was true. From a certain point of view."
