Kovalev needs to wake up. So does Letang. It's a lack of trying from Kovalev and a lack of confidence from Letang, but they both need to correct it.

Also, James Neal, make good on my prediction of a highlight reel goal, please! It would be nice.

I am hoping for the best but expecting the worst. I just can't see them winning this series now. If they give up the first goal, they will quit again. It's as simple as that.

Or they come out on fire and Rollie stonewalls them and then Fleury gives one up and it's all down hill from there.

I honestly have no desire to go tomorrow night. I just have that feeling it's going to be a long night.

Everyone's going to think we're being pessimistic, but shitty PP, shitty PK, every goal feels like the largest effort and it's always some scrub...no consistent goal scorers.

We saw the highs of a ridiculous scoring streak, an impressive winning streak, two gut-wrenching injuries and improbable resiliency when the hockey world left the Penguins for dead. No matter what happens tomorrow, I'm proud of this group of players. I think this ragtag group relish the underdog role, and tomorrow they will once again be in that position, Pens win!

If we win, I'll be both elated and shocked. If we lose, I'll spend the rest of the summer thinking over the possibilities of what this season held. *sigh* Regardless, we're lucky to be in a Game 7 honestly. If we want to move on (to face either Washington or Philly...), we need someone to step up BIG TIME on the offensive side, then strap down and play to our system and NOT TAKE PENALTIES.

This season had highs after Crosby/Malkin went out, but let's not let the team overachieving cloud our senses. We were up in this series 3-1. I will certainly have some fond memories of this season regardless of outcome and never expected us to win the Cup with the current squad, but that doesn't change the fact that leaving a 3-1 lead on the table is a choke job.

Yep, sure does. Would have loved to see what this team would have been capable of in the playoffs with a healthy Sid and Geno. What really sucks is by the beginning of next season, a lot of the experienced, veteran forwards who gutted out the last three months of the season will probably not be back.
