Really great to see Giroux dominate a game like this. He was the driving force behind everything here. In one game he vaults into a tie with Tarasenko, Burns and Hall for 14th in Nhl scoring, despite having played in fewer contests than most everyone ahead of him.
I think we're also seeing serious improvements from our bottom six forwards, especially Cousins, Laughton and Read. You can add Streit and MacDonald to that list too. Ghost is obviously getting better daily too. His instincts are special and his ability to recover defensively is really growing.
It was mostly a sloppy third period that we'd like to forget, but after the timeout, we really locked it down and suffocated them to close it out.
We may just be able to ride G and Neuvy all the way to a playoff spot at this rate however. It also feels like we could really start to dominate upon the return of a healthy Voracek.
