My guess is the NFL told teams they would emphasize this penalty a little more this year so teams better be prepared to adjust. New England obviously hasn't adjusted to it.

Another ugly win. But another win I will gladly take. We are a Gilmore penalty away from being 5-1. Amazing considering how bad the defense is.

Biggest problem the Patriots have is a Head Coach who refuses to admit he's made a mistake. He drafted two OL who aren't even playing, he signed a FA CB for mega money and can't play CB. He refuses to find players who "might" be better than the players on his team. Stays with non performers because his teams always improves as the season progresses. Teams don't improve if the players can't do what they're supposed to do. The only improvement over the first 6 games is the defensive line. They've shored up against the run and they're blowing up the pocket. You can't teach speed, but they seem to be getting off the blocks better and are getting closer to sacking the QB.

The Patriots secondary may be the worst in the history of the NFL. Every QB they've played against this year has thrown for more than 320 yards a game. They average giving up 2.5 TDs a game.

The OL is not improving. Cannon gets a holding call on a 33 yard run by Lewis to the opposite side of te field. Why? And Caserio and Belichick can't find two tackles amongst the 1500 that weren't drafted last year or 1500 from the year before? How about a Canadian OT?? Again, Belichick can't admit that he knew these two OTs weren't going to hold up and the two he drafted weren't on the team by the second preseason game.......nobody else out there??

If non professional fans can see these problems, then a coaching staff can see them also. Ask Aaron Rodgers how it feels to break your throwing arm collar bone. No matter how you see it, getting sacked is an "Oh Shit!!" by an offensive lineman. Hey Bill, let's not see Brady end his career in the hospital because Solder or Cannon couldn't finish a block.

Another ugly win. At this point in the season I think the team you see now is the one you will see the rest of the year, especially the porous pass defense. It's hard to make a QB like McCown look good but they did that today. The penalties and numerous mistakes on both offense and defense are frustrating to watch. The Pats still have a problem with short yardage running plays and, with Gillislee in the doghouse and Burkhead out, there was no big back to pick up those tough yards late in the game. Allen and Dorsett were still nonparticipants in the passing game. There are several interesting players on the PS and as free agents who might help. Will Tye as a second tight end who can maybe both catch and block; Ryan Lewis as a fast, big bodied CB who might actually be able to cover a deep receiver; LB Navorro Bowman, a vet who could fill a need on defense. McClellin is eligible to come off IR this week and could play after the bye week. All these additions might help somewhat but, at this point, it looks like it will take a miracle just to make the playoffs.

So basically any QB can beat the Patriots on 3rd and long.

Defense was still bad as was offense..

Front Seven/Six in Nickel is about as un-athletic and under-performing a group as I have seen in a long time - to have a 38 year old QB juke them out of their collective socks time and time again today was embarrassing to watch.

Why is this a problem? He doesn't admit much of his good decisions either. He's a guy who holds everything close to his vest as part of his strategy. I doubt saving face ever factors in.

Well...they didn't give up any points after the first 14.....so I guess that is good????

The DL has improved, and I noticed that Guy has been playing more inside than he was to start. There was not a lot of pass rush going on. I mean, Marsh got some pressure but I thought Wise and Flowers were OK. Kind of funny seeing Chandler Jones do what he is doing in AZ because they let him loose....I know that's not how BB does it, but still.

Roberts is slow as fuck and needs to go, maybe Shea can replace him. IDK, he is complete dog shit. Van Noy needs to be on the edge more than HT does...HT is a MLB and a damn good one at that. I'm hoping that not having Rowe and Gillmore was a bigger issue than we think. Still can't get off the field on 3rd and long. TE are killing us again. I hate to say it, but man I wish Logan Ryan was still here. At least he stays healthy.

Brady had some bad passes, and he was short on that INT to Dorsett...I mean throw it deep and let his speed come into play. Then he was short to Gronk on that PI in the end zone. I heard reports that his throwing hand and wrist were what was really bothering him. He didn't practice all week.
Stupid fucking pick plays again killing this team. if they are to stupid to not do it right, get away from it.
Solder is pissing Brady off and we saw it yesterday when Brady got sacked, looked at Solder, pointed and slammed his hand in the ground. Next play Waddle was in the game....
Need another TE to step up...sure miss Marty B right about now....

Few notes:
-Shea Mc can start to practice this week....
-Strong possibility that Mitchell misses the whole year...draft a guy with knee issues, and look.
-Bowman took the money to go to Oak.....
