I never heard either way regarding the players / shootouts. I'd think a pro player would LOVE it (the challenge, the attention, etc.) One on one...man...if that doesn't get the juices flowin'.

I've heard that the players don't like it that's why they're doing their best to come up with more wins in OT. Unfortunately bettman loves it because it creates more playoff races...he doesn't give a shit about hockey only money.

Heh.. If they had any skill in the shoutout this wouldn't look nearly as bad. I'm actually ok with this result. After being a highlight and stat hero, and talking to some people who watched, it seems like it was a fairly good effort from the flyers. Maybe even deserved the 2 points.

Good news is that they should get Braydon Coburn back for the Stars game. That should help their defense out some.

Awaz you're not wrong they just started out piss pour but got stronger in the end similar to les habs but of course you know the SO result. It's just frustrating.

If Coburn is back that will definitely help. Feel bad for Vinny because he was actually playing pretty good..when it rains it pours.

The shootout just kills this team

The problem with the shootout is that it includes a way too much gain for winning the freak show. 1 point for an individual contest? If you are going to do this then give a team that wins honestly in regulation 3 points. This would keep the circus act from being as important. The whole thing is ridiculous and the points don't even match up....

Despite another SO loss, I thought this game was a step forward in many ways. We did not panic, played to our strengths and showed a ton of resiliency in battling back from 0-2 and 2-3 deficits to take the game to overtime against a solid opponent.
