Moreland is the missing link but who knows. Could change.Like I said, I'm not vehemently opposed to starting Martin on the bench. He struggles big time against tough lefties. Here's how I'd write the lineup card.
Kinsler
Andrus
Rios
Beltre
Cruz
AJ (DH)
Soto
Moreland
Gentry
However, I fear Soto's hot bat will sit on the bench and Martin in cf. I love king Leo, but he'll get killed by price. Soto is also a defensive upgrade at catcher over AJ.
I hear you Wasting. Gentry is definitely needed in the lf line up
Stuck with Murphy? He has glued Gentry's ass on the bench and taken at-bats away from Profar and Baker all season long to play Murphy. He hasn't really had many other options- Baker can't exactly play DH or LF every day. I guess Profar is an option but still, he was kinda stuck with Murphy
Honestly, with the way Martin has struggled id consider starting him on the bench, Cruz in rf, and Rios in left and gentry in center. I know Martin's arm and speed are great tools, but he struggles against really good lefties. That way soto could catch and AJ can dh.
Murphy may not even be on the roster tomorrow so Texas can load up on an extra pitcher.

Price and Perez match up evenly on paper. Perez is so young I hope he holds up under this type game.
What roster rules are in play for Game 163? The full 40man roster like Game 162 ... or do the teams need to name a post season roster for what isn't really a post season game?
Have been out of touch since the bottom of the 7th this afternoon ... so haven't heard anyone address this. IMO ... this is not a post season game and so the full 40man roster ought to be the limit.
There really isn't. I was implying he was the weakest in the line up.I don't see another alternative. Baker is hurt and a huge defensive downgrade at 1b.
That's a really good question. I hadn't thought of that.
Watching MLB Network and they keep mentioning the jet stream at RBIA. Do these guys really watch these games?
Pretty sure it's still the 40 man based on the one game playoff a couple of years ago with the Giants and Padres was it?
