Happy T-Day. 12:30 ET Fox.

Bears might be as bad as Lions and just as beat up.

Any Lions fans around this AM? Got any good/bad/other memories of T-Day games? I remember Walter Stanley returning a punt for a TD in 88 to win the game...and it dropped the Packers from the 1st pick in the draft to the 3rd...and Tony Mandarich. In the end I guess it worked out for the Packers, they actually decided to join the modern NFL and stop living in the 60's. After suffering the crap of the 70's and 80's Packers I guess they should put him in the GB hall of fame

So they picked up somebody's trash and he's immediately better than any WR they have? Hmmm, perhaps they don't have to be quite this bad during their rebuild.

Did you watch last week? Reynolds being other teams trash is well earned. It was a nice catch though.

Fox seemed to really enjoy not having to kick it short! 70 yards and inside the 20!

Some. I take it he was bad.
A few drive kills drops, and 1 drive killing penalty. It was not pretty.

If last week was just nerves and he is more like this I would be thrilled.

I am no expert of football, but I feel like he probably should have picked off that pass

I am fucking SICK of the 3rd and long draw play. It is just giving up! On 3rd and 31, why not throw long? It probably won’t be complete but at least you allow for a PI call, a defensive hold or that low chance of a grab. Fuck, that shit pisses me off, run the game the right way.

I'm at work, but I looked in at one point and Goff was 14/16 for 90 yards. Man he really turned it on after that to finish with 21 completions for 170 yards.

By comparison while I'm writing this
Dalton 24 completions for 300+ yards
Derek Carr 19 completions for 300+ yards
Dax Prescott 21 completions for 250 yards

Several times this year I've been surprised by just how low their yards per completion is. I don't care if you have to sign bartenders or Mark Wahlberg or whoever to come play WR, you have to move the ball downfield more than this. I'm not sure if this is an offense thing, or a WR thing, or a QB thing; but my God is it unwatchable. I'd rather just watch the QB yell "Five Dollars" and throw the ball as far as he can every down. We may still lose every game, but at least it would be funny to watch.

And 39 yards of that total were on one play, actually a great TD pass under pressure. But you can't sustain drives like this, it simply doesn't work.

Not much new this week. Goff is still nothing more than a backup. Will Harris sucks at multiple positions now. Play calling on both sides looks amateurish. Defense is going to be decent though in the future. Offense wont change until we get a decent QB.
