I'll pick the Rams. Then after that, let's take it one game at a time! :suds:

Rams all the way....:suds: Vikes are going down.

If I had a few bucks for every time I've said something like that, I would be wealthy and retired...Well, I'm retired at least...I can't help myself though...RAMS open with a W...The "vaunted" D better show up and let Hill and the Rams get a win without Shaun having to rip off his jersey and expose a big S on his chest...Come on Rams, circle the wagons and get it done...

As much as I want to be optimistic I want to predict a loss simply so I'll be pleasantly surprised. I'd rather do that be expect to win and be disappointed.

I'm biased, but I'm picking the Vikings! Excited for the new regime and the first game in general.

SKOL!

Sorry to hear about Bradford, though. No one wants to see young talent hurt like that.

I was thinking we get out with a Win but since the whole Bradford thing it's kind of up in the air....

I'll wait a week and then decide...

RamCub is right... One game at a time. Cassel is a better QB than Hill so they have the edge at QB. However, we have a stellar defense but a defense is useless if the offense can't score points... We all saw that last year.

Pretty much all on Shaun Hill and Gregg Williams. The way to beat the Vikings is to pass the ball on offense and to stop the run on defense. The Rams were pretty good for the most part last year against the run but its Peterson and a good oline so thats always explosive. On offense, the Rams will likely have to target 3rd and 4th options in the passing game but should be able to get a lot of success from that. Shaun Hill takes more chances than Bradford so we'll see how that works out.

I think the Rams should still win but regardless I think itll be a close game

Something to watch is that the Rams had the best kick and punt kicking/coverage last year and the Vikings were the best kick returning unit and one of the best punt returning units last year. I dont think the Rams coverage unit is any good at all based on what Ive seen this preseason but the kickers are good.

I agree with Clayton on two points he makes:

1) Hill does take more chances down the field than Bradford - I see that as a step in the right direction especially for home games.

2) Our kick coverage has been below average this preseason - We better put in some extra practice time with these coverage units.

Yep, if our KO and Punt coverage doesn't get their collective craniums out of their backsides, we are going to get beat by one or both of those teams.

Vikqueens- 13
Rams- 24

For some reason, I am a believer in Shaun Hill. As I said, I saw him put up 44 points against the Rams in Sam Bradford's rookie season at Ford Field. We'll be better than people think in this situation. :suds:

TEB - like Retro, I really applaud your new avatar. I like Shaun Hill more than most also.

Hopefully, some of that will improve with the paring down of the roster. No more guys trying to save their roster spot by joining the special teams; just guys that have earned that spot.

Probably a running game duel, since neither team has an outstanding QB. I say the Rams win a squeaker because of better defense...............23-20.

Vita and Shane indicating a vote will be forthcoming on the winner; SJ declares for the UNDER with no winner yet (hell it might end up in a tie)

Not to bring up a bad nightmarish game, but, I remember in 2012 the last time we played these guys, AP had like 212 yards rushing. I guess you can say we sucked at stopping the run. This was when Brockers was a rookie. I believe it was in St louis as well. Here's a recap:
