Just preseason but AOC has looked good and outplayed all the higher drafted signal callers....think he could be the future QB and hopefully he has nailed down the backup job.

it's pretty apparent that the DL will be one of the weakest if not the weakest in the NFL. Every DL not named Donald needs to be released traded, or down right shown the door. I couldn't count not 1 decent pressure from these turds. DBs will have to cover for about a good 30 secs. And please can someone tell Timarcus Davis that the only football field he needs to see is the sideline of pop Warner. I'm also not sure why Kyren Williams is even on the roster.

Just fyi Jermaine, Kier Thomas had one sack and several pressures early on and they took him out and B. Young didn't play. Those two players will be of some help. Big Whit exclaimed that VanValkenburg, the LB they signed two years ago from the Raidas, is really playing well at LB. However, several ex-coaches, some ex-Rams coaches have already stated what you have posted.

The bigger issue remains to be the perennial poor drafts that the tenure of the ShitferBrains twins have produced in the last six or seven years. They were not so bad when Holmes and his staff were here but when they left for Detroit and other destinations, the drafts have been nearly horrific.

Poor drafting in areas like the O-line, D-line and LBs have been especially horrific. McShitferBrains did not draft AD. The Drama Queen did and we have not drafted a D or O-lineman that high since. And when we do take one in the Second Round, we get Logan Bruss, Evans, and Brian Allen types.

So, what we have now is the result of perennial neglect and it shows!!

What do have though is really good D-line and now O-line coaches as well as LB coaches who can take undrafted FAs and make them into starters as well as finding stud draftees. Eric Henderson, Ryan Wendall, and Chris Shula are doing very well in finding guys like Alaric Jackson, Kier Thomas, B.Young, Steve Avila, Dan VanValkenburg, Earnest Jones, and Coleman Shelton.

What is happening to WR Lance McCutcheon is very disconcerting. A guy who was all the rave last year, especially during preseason 2022, is in danger of being cut this year. A big, smooth receiver, he is being systematically removed from the offense. No one knows whether this is deliberate or just the result of an unfortunate bad set of circumstances. At any rate, Cameron DeSilva thinks he'll be brought back on the PS but others think he will begin his career in earnest somewhere else.

McVay makes these preseason games tough to watch. By failing to play starters, the Rams are consistently playing a depth level below their opponents until the second half or even the 4th quarter when it's end of the roster on both sides.
