Well I have been pondering this game and here is my personal conclusion.

1. We don't know what the last two weeks of training has accomplished but I have to believe the stone is continuing to be honed. Under no circumstance should we believe any of what the media has to say.

2. The last pres-season game the Pats played a team they will meet in the regular season with a head coach that is real familiar with this organization. All the media could talk about was how inept the Pats offense looked. I think it's very real possibility BB did not want to show his hand and kept the offense vanilla on purpose.

3. For all intent and purpose this defense especially the front 7 could be solid and the team D could rank in the top 10 by seasons end. Look for them to be very disruptive and look for aggressive DBs within the five yard kill a WR zone and look for a lot of help over the top in Hill.

4. Look for Hunter Henry and an improved Jonnu Smith the keep the Miami D in their heels setting up RB play and allowing Parker room to roam. I think he could have two TDs.

5. Pats 28 Phins 17
I completely agree with 1..3..4

2 I have some different feelings on. We do have a majority of the same players McDaniels knows well. But a completely different look on offense. He won't know what plays we have that might be keepers or throw away plays never to be ran in a game. Why would Belichick have our starters or backups practice with plays we won't use? I'm sure he knows whom he is keeping on the team. But why run vanilla plays with guys trying their damn best to make the team? I would be furious if I was a fringe player and all he is calling is bullshit plays that don't have a chance or mean anything. I would want to build some confidence in my team and call some plays that can produce. Win or not I'd still want positive plays. Even the vanilla plays were ran poorly.

Patriots are enroute to South Florida for three days of practice in the Miami heat and humidity. Today the temps were in the mid 90s here. Terrific thunderstorms this afternoon with downpours. Patriots have been practicing in the heat since camp opened, but getting down here and adapting a bit will benefit them. I doubt the Dolphins will go up to Massachusetts five days early in December to acclimate themselves to sub zero weather.

I am so fucking ready for some football.

My kid has his final baseball practice Thursday night before the season starts on Saturday so I miss Thursdays game, which should be a doozy, but I am ready for Sunday!!!!

Common sense says it'll be a sloppy division game with the Fins coming out on top in Miami like usual. But my gut says the Pats are sick of hearing about how much they suck and bring it.

I would say it is a bit easier to go from warmth to cold than from cold to warmth.

Does the heat hurt? Cold actually hurts and quickly demoralizes if you are not prepared for it. Heat and humidity does exhaust a bit bit but the mental impact is less.

Heat drains energy a lot more. Cold demoralizes sure but the expectation remains, "You are a professional do your job"!

The temps in NE have been constantly in the 90s all summer. From the time camp started in July the weather up there has been sweltering. They have a water problem that finally had some relief rain yesterday according to my grandson.

Problem with going from warm to cold is that people tend to tense muscles as a reaction to the cold. It's almost involuntary. Plus there's the adverse mental reaction. Heat will allow muscles to relax, but the humidity will cause people to believe that it's more difficult to breathe. Not good either way for the visitor.

Both will cause problems but scientifically they have shown that it is easier for your body to adjust to cold than it is heat. Your core temperature can regulate better in the cold keeping everything functioning at a higher level compared to going to extreme heat. I just know if I were a team I would rather play in Foxboro in December than Miami in September. That is if all things were equal. Obviously the last 20 years of dominance by the Pats I would rather play the Dolphins in September.

Cold weather games are more difficult for the Pats. Officials line up to check the ball pressure as the temperature drops hoping the catch the balls as they fall below 12.5 lbs per sqr inch.

Why is that?

The kid is a leader.

Teammates seem to love him and his work ethic.
Just surprised me, 2nd year guy, makes me feel like there was not better option which presents as scary to me

This week, the Patriots are set to kick off the regular season as 3-point underdogs against Miami according to DraftKings Sportsbook. It’s the first time the Patriots haven’t been favored to beat the Dolphins ahead of a matchup between the two division rivals since December of 2013.
