i was reading that mount puckmore thing for the oilers that puckdaddy is doing over on yahoo and i realized as far as management and history goes... some of me feels like on any success the organization has had its been through lucking into the right players.

they are a very storied franchise. but at the same time when you look at their history almost every era of management that has had control of the team has had great players to work worth and dished them off in bad trades.

you seem to see it in every era for this club where they go from successful (in varyin degrees) to a freefall... no easy downward slope.
