After week four, I recall chastising you all for all the talk about the Pats being finished and all the disappointment with BB and his drafting and all that junk. Seemed to me that the team deserved more credit than that.

This morning, here I am taking you all to task again.

I understand that all of the facts aren't out surrounding this ball horseshit and I've stated that there's still a ways to go before we'll know exactly what happened so I reserve the right to adjust my perspective. That said, enough happened that should not have happened including the lie-fest BB and Brady have orchestrated.

As if that wasn't enough, I've read so much utter horseshit and straw grasping from my fellow Pats fans around here. The you-can't-prove-anything angle is weaker than a PTSD Thread.

The Patriots were caught with illegal footballs and they have some explaining to do. Until then, my interest in this SB is at an all-time low. I've never felt let down by this team before but I am now. Hell, I can even forgive Welker's drop but to be so careless at this point in time, forgiveness is a long way off.

I haven't posted much lately due to disinterest in the upcoming game and having a new puppy that's had me up the past two nights. When John Harbaugh and Chuck Pagano get busted for hiring the spy who set up the Pats, I'll retract all of this but until then, can we please stop causing Boyle to roll over in his grave? Can we please stop ridiculing the critics as if this whole thing has been fabricated like many aspects of Spygate? Let's not be pussies and instead, be able to admit disappointment and recognize facts.

Nice fucking going Belichick~

Facts? The footballs were under-inflated. What other facts do we have?

1) Footballs are inflated with air (we think) which is a gas

2) Gases generally expand in heat and contract when cooled

3) Footballs are designed to keep gases inside with very leaking, but leaking can occur

What's wrong with giving your team the benefit of the doubt?

I will not put up with this sanity!!!

We have refs in the game because stretching the limits is what we do. There is cheating in every play in every game.

Well Homer, I guess your puppy has you so busy and distracted that you didn't watch BB's press conference yesterday. He basically said that he, his staff, or member of the team have done absolutely nothing. He stated that they have followed the rules to the letter of the law. He's pretty much said that from everything he's had access to, there is "no one" to blame.

People keeping asking how the Patriots could have 11 out of 12 balls under-inflated while the Colt had none. I ask a second question....did the Colts keep their games ball warm and dry? The Photos and film of the Patriots balls show them in a plastic bag laying on the ground. No heat, no one keeping them dry, nothing more than a plastic bag. If the Colts were keeping their balls warm and dry for their Arena QB, so he wouldn't have to handle a cold ball, their balls would have been more expanded due to the heat. If not, then there's got to be some other reason.

Finally, no one, not one single person can give any reason why a quarterback would want an under-infleted football. Over the past week, it's been proven at least 100 times that an under-inflated football does not perform anywhere near as weel as a fully inflated football. It has less spin ratio, therefore it wobbles. Because it wobbles, it is about 15% less accurate after it leaves the quarterback's hand. Because the air in an under-inflated football is under less pressure, gravity pulls the ball downward with greater force. Simply put...the ball is less accurate and travels a shorter distance. Where's the competitive advantage.

Because the home team supposedly supplies game balls (yeah, right) the 12.5-13.5 rules is meant to prevent the home team from over-inflating ball for QBs with small hands and under-inflating footballs to reduce performance. Think Eli or Peyton would go to another team's venue and try to prep a game ball an hour before the game???

.....I'm still interested in my team winning the SB next Sunday,........it's very unfair to "crucify" the other players/coaches/staff/owners/org. for the actions of one or two certain individuals.....if it indeed was done/intentionally,......innocent until proven guilty...!,.......GO PATRIOTS...!

Putting the balls next to a heater is also illegal,carolina/minnesota game, one of the teams got caught putting the balls next to the heater.i said it when it came out 11of 12 balls is very fishy,3 or 4 is an accident.
I have way to many questions & no answers, the NFL is not going to admit the pats cheated before the game & sabotage it
Finally ken with your theory how far was the ball thrown, reason i ask is somebody put a flat ball under my windshield wiper this week & i threw at somebody & was pretty accurate with a good spiral(i have played every position in football, except QB,i have a terrible arm,25 yds max)brady really doesnt throw deep

I want to know, ha the NFL EVER checked gameball pressure after the start of a game?

Meanwhile, an ESPN report from November has resurfaced in which the Carolina Panthers and Minnesota Vikings were caught by Fox cameras heating footballs on the sidelines with game time temperatures hovering around 12 degrees.

In the ESPN report, NFL vice president of officiating Dean Blandino said:

"You can't do anything with the footballs in terms of any artificial, whether you're heating them up, whether it's a regular game ball or kicking ball, you can't do anything to the football. So that was noticed during the game, both teams were made aware of it during the game and we will certainly remind the clubs as we get into more cold weather games that you can't do anything with the football in terms of heating them up with those sideline heaters."

All of this is not to say the Patriots should be let off the hook for what they've been accused, but more of a way to gauge punishment. Tampering of footballs doesn't seem like an isolated incident.:suds:

It's not and if not for the fact that John Harbaugh was screaming about it and it's the Pats, well you know the rest.
