it is not that big of an upset.

It is not even close to the level of upset for Utah in 2008.

It is freaking OKLAHOMA. They are a blue blood brand with 10 wins.

If Oklahoma wins, it is because their 4/5 star athletes and HOF coach beat Alabama's 4/5 star athletes and HOF coach.

it would not be some crazy upset and probably another forgotten game in 5 years.

Earlier this week I read where it was a torn meniscus. He had surgery Tuesday for what Saban called a scope. He's expected to play vs Oklahoma.

The scope is the type of procedure. It stands for arthroscopic. The question is whether they did a repair or meniscectomy.

Most OU fans have very little hope for this one. How we got 10 wins this season is a true miracle. We're, at best, an 8 win team. However, the B12 in general was down this year, which will be shown in the Bowl results. BU is probably the only fav to win its bowl game.

In all honesty, I haven't seen much of Bama play this season. I am guessing they're pretty stout, as they have managed to be atop the SEC for the past 2 seasons, other than a few weeks. Not an easy task. Were OU in the SEC, they would've probably finished 5th in the SEC West. At best, 4th.

With Stoops past history of not prepping well for big Bowl games, I'd say OU has about a 10% chance of winning this one. So, on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd put it @ a 9. Fortunately, it comes down to 1 hour and anything can happen. OU's best shot is for Bama to all come down with the flu or bad hemorrhoids.

Which of the two gets him back on the field in a matter of a few weeks?

If he's expected back for the bowl I'd say they did a meniscectomy, which surprises me because that's not a wise career move.

I wouldn't call it a huge upset, a surprise maybe, but not a big upset. I might be tempted to say that OU is back if they beat Bama though. They're still a great football program with all the tools necessary to compete with anyone in the country.

Utah 31 Alabama 17 was a 10. This would be at most 6. A let down after expecting to play for a National Title wouldn't be that surprising.

1 million. Even though they are struggling with motivation, Bama should smash them.

My season usually ends after my team finishes their bowl game.

From what I've read he should actually be back at practice roughly two weeks from the time of the surgery.

The Big 12 wasn't the only conference that was down. Really all were if you look at it. UF, UGA and LSU are not where they were last year in the SEC, NU, UM and PSU in the B1G. It was a down year all around.

Bama has played uninspired, flat and sometimes sloppy this year. OU played above expectations given their young defense and inconsistent offense. This game has all the makings of a possible upset, if you consider a 10-2 team beating an 11-1 team really an upset I guess.

8.

9 out of 10 is saved for 2007 Stanford/USC kind of games with 30+ point spreads and 10 out of 10 is reserved for FCS schools beating major schools like Appalachian St vs Michigan

Imo, of course

:agree:

Then they removed a portion of they meniscus. They may have done it because it may have been torn badly enough they couldn't repair it.

Ohio State has accomplished more in the last 12 years than Auburn has in their entire programs existence.

false.

auburn has beaten more great teams in the last 7 years than ohio state has in the last 40.

in a few weeks, auburn may end up having twice as many national titles in the last 4 years as ohio state has in the last 40.

winning the big 10 is easy. ohio state doing it so often proves it. because they've proven they aren't an elite program when they face the best of the best.

6 BCS bowl wins would strongly disagree, but then again you don't do well with facts and logic.

Who let you out of the toilet bowl, btw?
