You have to remember with the Cap going up teams are willing to overpay a little at this point. Heck a guy that has only started 1 game in his career in Griffen got $8.5 million a year.

He was all over the field when I watched the Broncos. I liked him.

Undersized (6' 0" - 230, for a LB) but fast and nasty.

At least thats the line CSNNE used.
Small (ish) for an LB but about right for a SS that we need!!

yeah just saw that wonder if he knows he wont get better than the pats offered him

Good luck to him, hopefully he does not burn a bridge.
He does deserve a chance to see what he's worth, but Bill knows value (at least with veterans)

I don't think there's anything wrong with Edelman testing the market. He deserves the chance to hear other teams out bare minimum.

I think you guys would be very happy with Woodyard if you got him. He has been a captain every year since he was like a Sophomore in high school. Even as a freshmen in college and a rookie in the NFL he has been a captain so great team leader and in the right spot on the defense one hell of a player. Dropped off a bit this past season because of a position change to MLB but at WLB he is on the verge of being pro bowl material.

I'm assuming part of the reason he's leaving there is money though? He's somewhat likely to be the fourth guy here and that's probably not worth it.

He's leaving Denver for a couple of reasons 1) He lost his starting spot of MLB for the 2nd half of the season because he was just stinking it up. 2) We had a 2nd year guy come in at his old spot and perform very well so it just made more sense for the Broncos to keep playing him there plus for this year to not resign Woodyard as he would be a very expensive back up.

So if you have a spot open at the WLB position then Woodyard should definitely be on your radar of guys to put there. If you ask him to play anywhere else in the linebacker spot though he is going to struggle as he just isn't that great fighting through traffic to make a play.
