but that is averages so a lot of them start out a 3 mil cap hit and then can go up to 7 mil cap hit

Yea but Williams and Jenkins play different positions

Williams is the best NT on the market. Newton was not the best RT on the market.

we are looking for pressure up the middle and the guy has 2 sacks in 40 games and you want to pay 6 mil for that ?

What about trading down a few spots and drafting either Peat or Humphries? A top 5 pick might be enticing to a few teams right around the 10 range, and likely one of both of those players would still be available and we'd gain extra picks. Either that or stay at 5 and draft a stud pass rusher to replace Rac.

Is it safe to say we are drafting an edge rusher based on the fact that we have done nothing but chase RT's, DT's, and safeties so far?
