What do you guys feel about Mariotta?

A potential franchise QB who is tailor made for this offense. He has all the physical tools you drool about. He has the accuracy, the touch, and the arm to make all the throws. He's a freak athlete who is not only fast straight line like Kaepernick, but he is explosive laterally like Russell Wilson - he's a better athlete than both of those guys. Incredible work ethic and character. The ideal face of a Chip Kelly team. A kid as gifted as him with the work ethic and IQ, back with the coach who knows what he does best -- this is a marriage that could lead our Eagles to the promise land….finally. Question is…how much is it going to cost?

I don't think we're getting Mariota ... Chip can plan for a trade up all he wants, but if the Titans want him or if the Jets love him (only a slight trade down for the Titans) ... it doesn't matter how much Chip loves/wants him. This move to get Sanchez back does prove that Chip is not sold on Foles.

Maybe he isn't sold on Foles, maybe he has a nice offer on the table for him or maybe its just what he has said many times. You need two quarterbacks in this league. Foles is cheap right now so they can afford to pay Sanchez. If they get Mariota or perhaps they take Hundley and groom him under Sanchez its still affordable.

I think Chip just bought himself a 2nd round pick by bringing back Sanchez. My guess is that Chip doesn't see much difference between Sanchez and Foles and he can trade Foles for a pick he can use to move around and get "his" QB. His QB may very well be Hundley or Petty ... doesn't "have" to be Mariota.

Nobody should be surprised. I said the day that the tampering is allowed and if the Eagles didn't have a deal done, Maclin was heading to KC for obvious reasons. Looks like we will be drafting a WR as well.

Can't believe we couldn't hold onto Maclin. I thought we should've at least used the franchise tag so we can continue to work on a long term deal, while protecting an asset. I guess Chip has other plans here. Looks like Torrey Smith is headed to SF. Not much left out there besides Cecil Shorts or Andre Johnson. Really don't want to overpay for either, especially AJ since he'll command more.

We pretty much cleaned out Reid's cupboard at this point. Cut Cooper and sign and draft a couple of WRs. Forget about Worilds and trade a 4th or 5th rounder for Dion Jordan. Still want to get an OL. Franklin is gone from the sounds of it. Keep pushing hard for McCourty.

Maclin was a high character guy and a locker room favorite. I'm a little concerned about the locker room, especially with Foles and Kendricks possible getting shipped out of town as well.
