Problem we all have with JJ is he was a 1st rounder. If he was a 5th rounder we'd all be thrilled with his production as 3rd/4th liner.

Personally I've seen enough of him to not want to see anymore. But I do wonder what he could do if given the chance to play 70-75 games.

If JJ is on a 4th line with occasional 3rd line time I'm happy. The guy is a solid penalty killer, decent at faceoffs and isn't a liability out there. If nothing else he's a great depth guy. And not that he has a huge ceiling or a ton of untapped potential but he's still only 23. It's not like he's a 30 year old scrub we're hanging on to.

I'm Irish in the sense that JJ was a first rd pick and its time to move on... I've supported JJ and thought he was really coming up well before that wrist injury(or something)... hasn't been the same on the ice nor in PDB eyes which matters the most apparently.

I'm good to move on... give Matteau a shot or something... I mean we lost out on a top half pick for this guy....
